𝗣𝗢𝗜𝗦𝗢𝗡 𝗣𝗢𝗜𝗦𝗢𝗡, 𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘤𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘴 4

PROLOGUE

FERN WATCHED the rain pour down from her bed. Tomorrow she was going to Auradon to study just like her older sister did a couple years back. Fern was technically not related to Evie Grimhilde, but the older girl took her in like a sister when she saw her all alone in an alley. 

A knock was heard on the girl's door, "Come in." Evie smiled as she entered the girl's room, "Hey my precious Fern. You excited?" Fern smiled as she watched the blue haired girl come across to sit on the bed next to Fern, "A little. I'm a little scared though. I wish Mal and Ben were going to be there. It would make it a lot easier." 

Evie sighed, "I know love bug, but Jay, Mal, Ben and I need time away. Carlos wanted to travel the world one day and he didn't get to. This is for him. There is also Ben and Mal's job with forming alliances. " Fern nodded her head and wiped the tear from Evie's face. Carlos had gotten in an accident and died a couple months ago. Fern wasn't told much about it cause whenever he was mentioned everyone started tearing up. Fern knew that Carlos was special to the VK group and she felt for her sister and friends. 

"But hey you will make so many new friends and have such an amazing time. Also Isabelle will be with you, so I know you will be okay" Evie said putting a hand on Fern's lap. Fern nodded her head and let out a breath. 

Isabelle, the daughter of Anna and Kristoff, had been friends with Fern since they were kids. The two were inseparable and had always had each other's back. Before Isabelle's aunt rebuilt her kingdom, Isabelle and her parents lived on the Isle of the Lost. Once the kingdom was built Isabelle moved and left Fern behind. They however kept in contact with letters and video chats. 

"Knock knock can we come in?" Evie and Fern looked up and smiled wide when they saw Jay, Mal and Ben at the door. Fern jumped up and ran over to the group and gave them a huge group hug. "How we feeling tree?" Jay asked, giving the girl the nickname when he first found her in a tree. Fern sighed and smiled, "Nervous but excited."

Ben smiled, "Well you are going to kill it there. Besides Uma will watch out for you." Mal nodded her head agreeing with her now husband, "I trust her." Fern laughed, "I remember when you didn't." All the VKs laughed. They had all grown a lot since they were first brought to Auradon. 

"Well the ship is here so we do have to go, but Anna and Elsa will be picking you up tomorrow and bringing you to your new home. We will see you for the summer okay?" Mal said giving Fern a hug. Fern grabbed harder onto Mal not wanting to let her go. She gave the boys a hug before she turned to Evie who was looking at the younger girl with love. 

"We have some things for you. We were going to wait to give it to you when you turned eighteen, but we all thought now was a good time" Evie said as she walked over to the younger girl. Fern looked down at Evie's hand and smiled when she saw a necklace in the shape of a heart, "It works just like my mirror. You ask what ever you want to see." Fern smiled and turned around letting Evie put it around her neck, "Thank you Ev." Evie smiled and grabbed the smaller girl into a tight hug, "You have already made me so proud. I love you so much." Fern whispered a small love you back and stepped back from the embrace. 

"This is from Carlos." Fern turned around to Jay and saw a pin. She took it in her hands and looked at it carefully. It was in the shape of a dog. "Tap it twice" Jay said. Fern looked up at him and then did as he said. A projection of Carlos came out of the pin. 

"Hey Ferny. Its Carlos" Carlos said with his huge smile, "I am so proud of you and happy that you joined our family. You truly were the last missing piece to our gang. Dude would talk but he is asleep so I'll say it for him. Woof woof." Fern laughed as did everyone. Carlos always had a weird sense of humor. "I hope you enjoy Auradon. I want you to wear this pin. It symbolizes that you can get over any fear, like dogs. I also will be with you through everything. We all will, I just know you are going to miss me the most" Carlos said giving a wink. If only he knew how too much on the nose this message was going to be, "I love you Fern. To more adventures!" 

The projection dissappered and the pin just went back to a pin. Fern looked up and saw that everyone was crying. Fern sighed and kissed the pin before she pinned it to her shirt. Jay wiped his tears, "This is from me." Fern looked at the sword. She smiled wide. She had always wanted a sword like Jay. She took it from his hands and looked that it was engraved with her name. "Thanks Jay!" Jay smiled and brought the girl into another hug. 

"This is from us" Mal said as she extended her hand and it was a book. Fern grabbed it and looked at it. It was her favorite book of all time, Little Women. The book had been confiscated on the Isle of the Lost years ago. Fern brought Mal and Ben into a hug, "Thank you so much." Evie and Jay joined the hug and they all just took the moment to appreciate it.

"Okay we really do have to go" Ben said being the first to step out of the hug. Everyone stepped out of the hug and smiled. Fern sighed, "I'll miss you guys." 

"We will always have you back Fern, cause we are" Mal started putting her fist out. 

"Rotten to the core" the others finished. They all looked up and smiled, knowing Carlos was looking down on them. 

Author's Note.

I miss Cameron so much and originally I wasn't going to watch the new movie but I know Cam would have wanted it so I did. It for sure did not compare to any of the OG ones, but I did come up with a plot so here it is. Evie, Mal and Jay will only be mentioned in this part of my book because it wouldn't make any sense for the rest of the plot, but I really wanted to put them in somehow so this is what I came up with. I hope you all enjoyed!
