Wally woke up feeling disoriented, cramped in Tommy's crib. As he tried to stretch, he felt a strange, damp sensation around his waist. Panic set in as he realized what had happened—he had wet his diaper in his sleep. The humiliation washed over him like a wave, and he wanted nothing more than to hide.

Just then, his mother walked in, her expression soft but firm. "Good morning, Wally. How did you sleep?" she asked, approaching the crib.

Wally hesitated, his face flushing with embarrassment. "I... I think I had an accident," he mumbled, looking away.

His mother's eyes widened slightly with surprise, but she quickly composed herself. "It's okay, Wally," she said gently. "Let's get you cleaned up and ready for the day."

She helped Wally out of the crib and onto the changing table, where she carefully removed the wet diaper, cleaned him, and put on a fresh one. Wally felt humiliated, unable to believe this was happening. After dressing him in an oversized pair of shorts and a t-shirt, she explained their plan for the day.

"We're going to the store to get some things to turn your room into a proper nursery," she said, her tone matter-of-fact. "We need to make sure you have everything you need for this week."

Wally's heart sank further. The thought of shopping for baby items was mortifying, but he knew there was no escaping this punishment. They drove to the nearest baby store, where Wally's humiliation only deepened.

As they walked through the aisles, Wally's mother selected various items for the nursery. She picked out a crib large enough for Wally, pastel-colored bedding, and a new changing table. Wally felt like everyone was staring at them, even though most shoppers barely glanced their way.

They also picked out larger diapers, baby wipes, and jars of baby food. Wally's mother explained each item as if he were a toddler. "These diapers should be more comfortable for you," she said, placing them in the cart. "And we'll try different flavors of baby food to see what you like."

Wally's embarrassment peaked at the checkout counter. The cashier gave him a curious look, then turned to his mother with a raised eyebrow. "Big project?" the cashier asked, glancing at the cart filled with baby items.

"Yes, we're setting up a nursery for my son," Wally's mother replied smoothly, without elaborating. Wally kept his eyes fixed on the floor, wishing he could disappear.

After what felt like an eternity, they finally returned home. Wally's father was waiting to help set up the nursery. They moved Wally's regular furniture out of his room and replaced it with the crib, changing table, and high chair. The pastel bedding and baby toys completed the transformation.

Wally stood in the doorway, staring at his newly transformed room. The reality of his situation hit him hard. This was really happening. His parents were serious about this punishment, and he was stuck with it.

His mother approached him, placing a gentle hand on his shoulder. "Wally, we know this is hard for you, but this is about teaching you empathy and responsibility," she said softly. "We want you to understand how your actions affect others."

Wally nodded silently, still feeling overwhelmed. He didn't fully understand the lesson yet, but he knew he had no choice but to go along with it. As he looked around the room, now a nursery, he felt a mix of emotions—embarrassment, anger, and a flicker of understanding.

This was just the beginning of his journey, and Wally knew he had a long week ahead to reflect on his actions and learn from this unusual punishment.
