A Promise Of FOREVER

Chapter-2

2 Weeks Later,

Today, Aadhya's heart was not at peace. She was trying her best to not to overthink and create fake scenarios in her mind, but she was getting terribly failed. So to find some peace she decided to go to the Shiv Shakti temple.

"Flashback starts"

Pratap and Pratibha singh along with Devendra and Devyani Singh Rajvansh were sat in the living room of The Kapoor Residence. Lines of confusion and tension can be seen on the faces of Kapoors that why this sudden meet has arranged.

Pratap jii said with neutral and expressionless face, "Rishi as you know I always prefer straight and clear talks so I will directly come to the main topic for which we are here"

Rishiraj and his son Harsh had a brief eye contact and Rishiraj waited for Pratap to continue.

Pratap continued, "We're searching for an ideal match for our elder son, Ashvik. You all know him, he is very hard working and kind hearted man and I feel your granddaughter Aadhya would be the perfect match for him."

He took a pause to notice the Kapoor's reaction and then continued, "I've always believed in your upbringing and on Holi when I've met Aadhya I knew she is the one for Ashvik and If you are okay with this then we would like to turn this friendship into family relationship"

Hearing to him Gayatri stood up from the sofa and turned away from them and took some steps in opposite direction.

Rishiraj thought that she didn't liked this proposal and is unhappy with this. He said to Pratap, "uh...Um Pratap I'm sorry for her behaviour. I'll talk to her. Please don't take it seriously."

Before Pratap could say anything gayatri was back, she said, "What do you mean by don't take her seriously. Haan? (she took a slight pause and glared her husband) Well leave it today I'm very happy so I'll forgive you."

She forwarded a box which was in her hand and said with excitement, "itni khushi ki baat haii koii muh meetha bhi nhii krna chahega kya" and the whole environment turned light and happy.

As the parents discussed the details of the marriage, Aadhya and Ashvik were nowhere to be seen. They were not present during this conversation, but their fate was being decided by their parents.

Little did they know, their lives were about to change forever.

(Later Aadhya and Ashvik got to know about this from their mothers)

"Flashback end"

As she walked through the temple gates, the soft chime of bells and the sweet scent of incense enveloped her, immediately calming her racing mind. She took a deep breath, feeling the weight of her worries slowly lifting. With each step, she let go of the fake scenarios and negative thoughts that had been haunting her.

Inside the temple, she sat down in front of the serene Shiv Shakti idol, closing her eyes and focusing on the gentle hum of the chants. The vibrations of the mantras resonated deep within her, quieting her mind and soothing her heart.

As she sat there, Aadhya began to reflect on her thoughts, recognizing the patterns of overthinking and negativity that had been holding her back. She realized that these fake scenarios were just a product of her own fears and doubts.

After sometime, The Aarti of God Shiv and Goddess Parvati started. There were less people. Aadhya joined her hands and closed her eyes and started to sing The Aarti with others. After few minutes when Aarti ended and Pandit Ji asked to say their wishes in their mind.
