A Promise Of FOREVER

Chapter-7

Aadhya was sitting in front of the mirror, cladded in red coloured bridal lehenga. She was looking so beautiful, so pretty, so breathtaking, giving the final touch to her look the makeup artist said, "It's done ma'am. You are looking so beautiful." Aadhya blushed a little and mumbled a thankyou.

Soon they heard a knock on the door. Makeup artist went and opened the door. Aadhya's friends, Kartik, Saanvi and Parth entered the room.

They froze, seeing Aadhya cladded in wedding attire.

Saanvi's eyes widened, "Oh my god, Aadhya! You look... wow!"

Parth teased her, masking his emotions, "I've never thought you could look this beautiful too."

Kartik's eyes misted, "Aadhya, you're... grown up."

Saanvi rushed to Aadhya, tears streaming down her face,"Aadhya, our baby, you are really getting married! I still can't believe it" Saanvi sobbed, clinging to Aadhya.

Parth joined in, mock-sobbing, "We're losing our partner-in-crime!"

Kartik chuckled, trying to hide his emotions.

Aadhya laughed, tears welling up in her eyes,"Guys, stop! You're making me cry!"

The friends shared a group hug, tears and laughter mingling.

Parth quipped, "We're not crying because we're losing you, Aadhya. We're crying because Ashvik is stealing our favorite person!"

Saanvi playfully rolled her eyes,"You're just jealous Ashvik gets to keep her now."

Kartik smiled, his voice trembling, "We're happy for you, Aadhya. You deserve all the happiness."

Aadhya's voice cracked, "I'll always be here for you guys, no matter what."

Kartik said, his voice authorative yet firm, "Aadhya, If he doesn't treat you well or misbehaves with you, you can just kill him. Rest leave it on us."

Parth too joined in, "Yes, we've promised. Also you remember we always wanted to something crazy, this will be the best."

Aadhya rolled her eyes and said, "Shut up you guys. You all know na he is so sweet."

Saanvi teased her, "Ohhoo abhi se hi jiju ki side le rhii haii...Pta nhi shadi ke baad hum ise yaad bhi rahenge ya nhii."

( "Oh no, she's already taking her husband's side... Who knows if she'll even remember us after the wedding!")

Aadhya whinned and, "If you'll didn't stop teasing me right now then I will forget you for sure."

They all said in unison, "We will never let this happen, you don't worry" and first Saanvi hugged Aadhya, then Parth and then Kartik engulfed all of them in a group hug.

The moment was broken when the heard Aadish's voice, "Apne bhaii ko bhul gyi kya?"

Aadhya hurriedly went towards him and hugged him. She said with her throaty voice, "Bhaii I will miss you" and a sob left her mouth.

Aadish's eyes also turned teary, he patted her head and said, "Don't cry beta, you know na I can't see you in tears."

He wiped her tears, and said, "And I'm in with Kartik's plan, so don't worry."

Aadhya looked at him with shock and said, "Bhaii.....ap to aise mat kahiye."

(Bhaii..atleast you don't say like that.)

Aadish laughed and again pulled her in a hug. He signalled Parth and Kartik too, they also joined the hug. 

He noticed Saanvi was standing a little far and admiring their bond. He stretched his hand and pulled her closer to him in the hug. Saanvi was first shocked due to sudden pull but then her cheeks turned crimson, which she thought no one noticed.
