Chapter 3: Marigold's Birthday

August 26th, 2009

I get home from school, putting down my backpack, I take the straw hat I made for Marigold. I told Lily not to tell him earlier today. Grabbing the keys to my motorcycle, I grab my gloves and Helmet, putting them on, I see Jacob.

"Where are you going in a rush?" He asked.

"I'm going to take the straw hat I made for Marigold to him." I said.

"Remember what we talked about?" Jacob asked.

"Yes, to not push it, or else I'll drive him away." I said.

"Good, and go have fun." Jacob said.

"I will." I said and I grabbed the straw hat and put it in a bag, grabbed my keys and made my way to my motorcycle, it's a Harley Davidson, I started my motorcycle and drove to Marigold's house.

Marigold

"Where is Ash, surely she hasn't forgotten." I said.

"She hasn't forgotten, she probably had to pick something up." Mom said.

"Alright." I said.

Suddenly I hear a motorcycle outside.

Ashlynn

I arrived outside of Marigold's house, turning off my motorcycle I took the keys out of the ignition, put them into my pocket, and grabbed the bag, and walked inside.

"Ash!" Marigold said, hugging me.

"Let her take her stuff off first." Lily giggled.

I hugged him back.

"I thought you'd never come." He said.

"Well, you thought wrong." I said, taking off my helmet and gave Mrs. Virginia the bag, telling her to not let Marigold see it.

"Well, what's in the bag?" Marigold asked.

"You'll find out soon enough." I said.

"Okay." Marigold said, disappointed.

We do cake, and presents.

I see Marigold open mine, and I smile, I felt myself blushing.

"It's a straw hat, now I can become Luffy!" Marigold said, ecstatic, picking me up and spinning me around, landing in his arms, I feel him kiss me on the top of my head.

The party soon enough ends, and we say our goodbyes.

I grab my helmet and gloves, putting them on I make my way to my motorcycle, driving home, I reminisce about that moment, all the while focusing on the road, I get home, parking my motorcycle in the garage, I take all my stuff inside.

"So, how'd it go?" Jacob asked.

"Without a hitch." I said.

"Nice." He said.

I put all my stuff in my room, and get ready for bed and go to sleep.

August 27th, 2009

I go outside and I see Marigold and Lily in our yard.

"Good morning, Ash." Lily said.

I waved.

"She's in a mood because you kissed her last night." Lily laughed.

"Sorry about that." Marigold said, hugging me.

I still feel weird, but I'm getting comfortable in Marigold's embrace I say, "It's okay, I needed that."

Lily stood there, shocked.

"What?" I asked.

"You said, you needed that." Lily said.
