Lance the Protector

-Before We Start-

We see a young femboy with light brown skin, red eyes and red glasses, long silver hair, and wearing a red tracksuit.

RockyJMoon: "Hello everyone. Author here. So some of you may be aware. I've had this story rattling in my brain for over a decade as of writing this. And I figured it's about time I officially unleash it upon the world. Oh I just realized."

The author snaps his fingers, and the tracksuit is now blue.

RockyJMoon: "This fits more. Now..."

He snaps his fingers again.

RockyJMoon: "Lance the Protector."

🤓: "Um...what the hell is this? That's a weird title."

RockyJMoon: "A lot of popular pieces of media have weird names. Also, I thought of it when I was like 12."

The author walks to a whiteboard.

RockyJMoon: "Now. Let's clear up some points."

1: The original story is long.

RockyJMoon: "Originally, the story was gonna be self-contained without any sequels. Then at some point, it basically turned into JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. By that, I mean multigenerational. Currently as of writing this, I've thought up of 9 parts. The last 3 taking place in alternate universes. So, for mine and everyone's sake, I don't wanna do that and stick with the first one. Will I adapt the other parts?......We'll see."

2: The original story has a lot of inspiration and references to other media.

RockyJMoon: "This is similar to Point 1. You see, at first, Lance was originally kind of a parody of Sonic the Hedgehog and X-Men. Then...Kirby....Then Avatar: The Last Airbender...then as the other parts went on, I was introduced to more media, so I incorporated stuff from Infamous...to Sword Art Online...to Ikki Tousen...to....I'm just gonna stop, cuz it's a lot."

RockyJMoon: "Shut up!"

RockyJMoon: "Another thing is that the series is also kind of a mess because of it. So I'm gonna keep some elements in, because they're basically really important to the story. Such as the Sonic, X-Men, and some other stuff along the way. Although I am gonna change some stuff. Cuz one of the arcs later on is literally just the plot of Sonic Adventure 2.....oh god, is that a spoiler?"

RockyJMoon: *Shrug* "Also I'm gonna add some new stuff. Like, I recently got into Dragon Ball, and I have noticed a lot of similarities between the MC and Goku, so screw it, we ball. I'm saying this now, cuz I know some of you were gonna point it out eventually. Basically, I'm gonna embrace the giant melting pot of media that shaped the story and see how it goes."

3: Changing and adding stuff.

RockyJMoon: "Goin back. I can't help but cringe at some of the stuff I originally added in. Again, I was like 12-13. So almost the entire main cast are men, and all the girls are damsels in distress. Now that I've grown up, and adding more strong female supporting casts throughout the original series, I'm gonna do that."

🤓: "Um, so you're basically going wo-

RockyJMoon: "That's it, I'm banning that word."

The author throws the baseball bat aside.

RockyJMoon: "So once again, I'm gonna embrace the fact that the original is one big melting pot of ideas and references to other media. So, if you're gonna 'call me out for not being original'......just stop. You're not helping anyone."

RockyJMoon: "I guess that's really it. Oh wait! In the original Lance series, it progresses from the MC's childhood to adulthood. I'm gonna keep that."

The author throws the shotgun away and brings out a piece of paper.

RockyJMoon: "Also, this book is currently on Wattpad. If you see it anywhere else, please notify me. If I do decide to put it on another site, like AO3 for example, I will tell you."

The author then walks towards a blue door.

RockyJMoon: "One more thing. Aside from the story and OC's, I own nothing such as pictures, music, or videos I may use. I do however plan to add my own drawings at some point. When? You'll know. Now, we finally begin."

The door opens and everything is engulfed in a bright light.
