Chapter 5: Figuring Out the Devils

*Location: Hyoudou House - Morning*

*All four Fallen Angels introduced themselves and bowed deeply, their foreheads touching the floor.*

Issei: Um, why are you all bowing like that? There's no need to bow to us like this.

Lincoln: Yeah, please get up.

Dohnaseek: No, we must express our gratitude for saving us back then, Sir Hyoudou.

Kalawarner: Yes, both of you have given us shelter even though you didn't know us.

Mittelt: Exactly. After hearing Ray's full story, we know we can't return to Grigori after what we've done, even if it wasn't under our control.

Lincoln: *sigh* You guys don't need to sell yourselves short. I did what needed to be done. You guys were in control of spiritual beings who were able to take control over you'll and were strong enough to control you. And it seems like you have nowhere else to go. You're welcome to stay here. *hears stomachs grumbling* Issei, could you please take everyone to freshen up and bring them to the kitchen for breakfast? *heads towards the kitchen*

Dohnaseek: Whew, I'm glad they are not upset about us seeking shelter here under their protection.

Raynare: See? They're really kind. There's no need to worry.

Mittelt: Still, now that we've deserted Grigori and taken shelter here, we need to do something for them so we don't become useless freeloaders.

Kalawarner: Yeah, Mittelt's right. It wouldn't be right to do nothing for our savior. *gives a Cheshire grin* Raynare, you sure are lucky to have such a handsome future boyfriend. Although it wasn't him who saved us. I wonder if we can date lincoln-kun too?

Mittelt: *wiggles eyebrows* Hehe, what do you say, Ray-chan? I'm pretty sure we can handle him while you handle Issei-Kun all by yourself. Kala and I can be your backup if you need any suggestions. People connected to others have everlasting stamina, after all. *starts blushing* But don't worry, I understand why you like him, though. How we also like Lincoln-Kun.

Raynare: Oh, come on, guys! Stop teasing me. *covers her blushing face and mumbles* It's too soon for that. We need to marry them first. While I also like Lincoln-Kun, I always had the looks on Issei-Kun. You two do fit perfect for his brother. Besides, we don't want him to be lonely.

Dohnaseek: *chuckles* Even after what just happened, I'm glad they're still themselves. Well, I'm going to the restroom first. You guys take your time talking. *heads to the restroom*

*While the Fallen Angels were engrossed in conversation, they remained unaware that Issei had overheard everything. A smile played on his lips as he realized Raynare did harbor feelings for him. However, the thought of Kalawarner and Mittelt's interest in his brother added a layer of complexity, though he trusted him to handle it*.

*After a few moments, their parents descended the stairs and spotted Lincoln and Issei in the dining room with the others*.

Miki: Lincoln, Issei? Who are they?

Lincoln: These are Raynare's friends. It seems they were searching for her after the incident, but they were attacked. I thought it best to bring them here for safety.
