Have you read The Goats Knew? Maybe you should. I've written Palmyra Paranormal as a free standing story. But there are references to Scott and Emily's previous adventure. An epic battle with an ancient terror from pre-colonial North America.
I'm being careful not to include spoilers for The Goats Knew, however, like any sequel, you're best off reading the 1st story 1st.
You'll also find that this group of paranormal investigators turn up in my novella Sinkhole. Palmyra Paranormal falls between the events in Goats and Sinkhole. In fact, I need to add a special thanks here to C.E.Bronk (author of the Patrol series of books) for suggesting this new adventure.
It began as a simple question. After reading Sinkhole, she began The Goats Knew and asked if the Emilies in both stories were the same character. She suggested that Emily's experience in The Goats Knew may have inspired her to investigate other paranormal events. I shrugged. I hadn't realized I had used the name Emily in both stories.
Then it hit me. What a fabulous idea. So I brought Scott and Emily back together for more cafe meals and murdered corpses. Now we'll have to see how they handle a second brush with supernatural phenomena.
Please, turn out your lights and enjoy the Story. Don't forget to tell me what you think (and correct my grammar when necessary!)
