Pandora's POV

Turns out it will not be as long as I initially thought. Morgan and I walk into the cafeteria and our jaws drop simultaneously, but for totally different reasons. Morgan is shocked because he knows who it is, but I am shocked because of the guy's Greekgod-like physique.

"What the hell is Travon doing at our table?!" Morgan cries out, confused and outraged.

From where I am standing at the front of the cafeteria, I observe that Blake and Aria were already seated at our usual table with the new guy, Travon, talking animatedly. I can only see Travon's back. His back muscles are taut and evident through his white T-shirt. His blonde hair is in an effortless quiff. I cannot help but want-almost need- to see the front part that is attached to the sexy back.

Holy shit. Damn he's hot. I feel myself drooling a little and hurriedly shut my mouth.

When I turn to look at Morgan, he is smirking at me, with a glint of mischief in his eyes. "Don't you even dare Morgan Stephen Cameron. I will cut you up into tiny, tiny pieces and feed you to the birds," I hiss at him, knowing perfectly well what he was up to.

"Woah there, Pandora. I wasn't thinking of anything!" Morgan defends himself while rubbing the back of his neck.

"Don't act innocent, Morgan. I know that you were going to tease me about looking at Travis, or whatever his name is," I whisper-shout back at him.

"Alright, a) his name is Travon Miller and b) it is so obvious that you were checking him out! I mean, come on, how long has it been since you've had a boyfriend? Well, I think it's time for you to get one!" Morgan urges me on flahenthusiastically.

I ignore his comment. Before I can comprehend, Morgan starts walking towards Blake, Aria and Travon, probably wanting to know why he was sitting with them. I sigh and trail behind him.

As soon as we reach our table, Blake and Aria flash us huge grins, while Travon stares quizzically at Morgan and I.

"Hey, Blake and Aria. Wanna explain to us why Travon is sitting with us?" Morgan speaks in a sickly sweet voice, spitting out Travon's name like he does not deserve to be sitting there.

I drive my elbow into Morgan's ribs and smile apologetically at Travon, trying to make up for Morgan's rude introduction. "Hi, Travon! Welcome to Richwood High! I'm Pandora and this is Morgan. Don't mind him, he's very...let's just say skeptical of new people. Right, Morgan?"

I look pointedly at at Morgan, willing him to say something -anything- nice to Travon. He just grumbles under his breath in agreement to my statement.

Travon raises his eyebrows, seemingly amused by our little "introduction". Thankfully, before anything got way too awkward, Aria pipes up, "Well, then. Since the introductions are out of the way now, Blake and I have history class with Travon, and that is where we met him."

"But, how do you guys know Travon?" Blake questions Morgan and I.

Morgan finally speaks up after a long silence and explains meeting Travon in English class. Morgan once again stares down Travon intensely.

I am guessing Travon starts feeling the full brunt of Morgan's stare, because he suddenly clears his throat and starts talking, "Nice to meet all of you, as well. I am Travon, as you all already know."

I instinctively lean closer towards him. Turns out Morgan was right. Travon speaks in an otherworldly tone of voice, in an accent I cannot place.

I can sense a strong and intense form of attraction towards Travon.

Get a grip on yourself, Pandora. You barely even know the guy!

I decide to listen to my conscience for once and shake the feeling off. Before long, everyone sitting at our table returns back to their own respective food, while I excuse myself and head to the school library.

The library has always been a sanctuary for me; a great place to think and read on my own. I especially love to come to the library during lunch, and curl up on the orange-coloured sofa with a book and ear buds, blasting Shawn Mendes and Ed Sheeran into my ears.

Today is no different. I skim through the many shelves of the school library and find a suitable book to read. I head over to my usual sofa. Plugging my ear buds into my phone, I swipe my thumb over the touch screen in search of a song that suits my mood. I come across a song that catches my eye - Bright by Echosmith.

I press play and the opening chords of the song starts to play. I open up my book to the first page and begin to read. Time passes by in a blur and I only look up from my book when I feel a tap on my shoulder.

"Pandora, I think you best get back to class now," Mrs Murphy, the librarian, gestures to the wall clock, smiling pleasantly.

I realize that I have been in the library for more than 30 minutes now, and lunch was going to end soon. I stand up from my comfortable position and put the book back into the shelf before heading to my next class.
