"Fuck-"

"That's exactly what you won't be doing tonight."

"Fuck you."

"No thank you, unlike some people, I have a good taste in men."

"Can the both of you shut up? I'm trying to work here."

"I'm sure your Netflix can wait, darling."

"Get the fuck away from my sister, you perv."

It's way too early for this shit.

Following yesterday's meeting, I had to set up a following one to discuss about Callister's new schemes, if I can call it that. Cameron woke me up at 5, tragic I know, and forced me to dress without even a cup of coffee.

How that woman never gets a hangover is beyond me.

I looked over to my left to see her eyes practically glued onto the screen. Her legs were folded up and she had a packet of chips above her pillow on her lap.

Noticing my gaze, she moved the packet behind her and glared at me.

This little shit.

"Lucien can you tell this puttanna to shut up?" Vin complained while side-eyeing Vivienne, pulling me out of my thoughts.

"Can all of you shut your traps and sit down. I have to discuss something." I yelled, which seemed to have gotten their attention as they immediately settled down.

Vincenzo kept throwing glares at Vivienne, who in turn showed him her middle finger.

"How many of you knew about Callister's wife?" I asked, making them turn their heads.

Cameron almost immediately turned off her show and was now curiously looking at me as she tried to calculate my next move.

"Why are we focusing on her? All I know is that there was an arranged marriage between the Callisters' and some random family, just for the sake of an heir. Then obviously, the woman fell victim to Stockholm syndrome and fell in love with him. Your typical cliche." Vincenzo replied.

"What kind of woman is she?" I asked.

"She's not worth too much. Your average woman, might put up a fight before giving up. Loves spending money and hoarding it." Vincenzo replied, which earned a few glares from Vivienne.

"A gold digger?"

"You could say that."

All of a sudden the door slams open and Alexander walks in panting with his hands on his knees. His clothes were disheveled and his hair looked like it had been raked through.

"How late am I?" Alexander asked, catching his breath while falling onto a chair.

"Is the situation taken care of?" I asked.

"Yes boss. Some warehouses had been broken into, just as you predicted. We caught the fuckers before they ran away, however they had already seemed to have anticipated our arrival. They had the place armed and had set up bombs all around the place." Alexander replied. "They're all currently in the basement. Connor's currently interrogating them for information. After the meeting, I'll go back down to check."

"Good."

Cameron handed him a bottle of water, which he thankfully accepted.

"We were just talking about Callister's new wife. Lucien might be planning an attack on her." Cameron explained to him while he finished emptying the bottle.

"You mean Juliette? I heard it was an arranged marriage, is she worth anything important?" Alexander asked curiously, all signs of exhaustion suddenly disappearing from his face. Cameron then started filling him up on the revelations of the day.

Juliette Callister. That's the name of the woman who made Christian Callister fall in love. The woman who made Callister actually spend money on something other than himself.

"Cameron, I am going to need you to find all information on Juliette and about Callister's next event, and try to get us an invite for that. Vincenzo, Alexander and Vivienne will interrogate the moles, I will assist Cameron for a while before joining you. Also, Vivienne, don't kill our hostages this time, or I will have to dispose of you." I announced, formulating the perfect plan.

"That won't happen again Lucien, relax." Vivienne said in a slightly exaggerated tone as she stood up and pulled Vincenzo by his shirt. "Come on Vinny, we got some work to do."
