VII. Harmony in the Unseen

The friends stood at the edge of the vast landscape as their hearts were racing with hope. Before them appear the game master, Carlo, who is a tall figure cloaked in shadows and mystery. The landscape was bathed in an eerie light that seemed to interact with every breath they took.

"All of you have come so far, but the real test begins now!" Carlo said, who is filled with challenge and admiration.

Jadene stepped forward, her determination unwavering.

"We're ready." She said as her voice echo with a newfound strength.

Carlo's laughter rippled through the area, and with a wave of their hand, the landscape shifted into a swirling battlefield of colors and shapes.

A light shimmered above, and they were given weapons as if the heavens were called by their perseverance. Hailey received a wooden staff that is effective against the phantoms created by the game master. Jadene had the Sword of Resonance; its power coming from her strong determination. Kyle got a book with spells and magic which are also effective against the phantoms. Lastly, Rafaella received the Bow of Whispering Winds which can shoot swiftly at the enemies.

Hailey gripped her wooden staff as the phantoms of their fears emerges from the mist — shadows and echoes of the trials they had faced.

"Stay strong! We can do this!" She said as her heart raced with pure determination.

Jadene noticed the battlefield's shifting nature and she have observed an anomaly — a flicker in the air that seemed to disrupt the landscape. She focused on this irregularity as she senses a deeper truth beneath the surface.

"W-what is that thing?!" Jadene exclaimed.

"It's so big!" Hailey exclaimed as well.

The friends shared a glance to each other as their eyes widen as the realization hit them.

"This is with my own will. Let me introduce you, Celestial Unit-9!" Carlo said as he laughs.

The surface began to shake as the mech awakens.

"This is no good." Hailey said nervously.

"We need all of our strength to defeat this mech and the game master!" Kyle encouraged everyone.

Everyone nodded.

The mech have finally awakened fully and it drew a punch at them. They managed to dodge it buoyantly with their signal: "Stand as one and fears will be undone!"

The friends and mech attacked consecutively against each other.

"Tsk, this is getting too boring! Celestial Unit-9, use Galactic Nova Burst!" Carlo excitedly said after complaining.

As the mech used its ultimate attack, the friends didn't have time to think where to dodge. So then, the mech's ultimate attack hit them and they have been defeated by it and the game master.
