To Bring Hope To One's Despair

Chapter 4- A Growing Helplessness

Tanaka- San walked into Hajime's room and found him asleep, he saw the washed dish in the sink and the note, it was now noon, he and the others decided to meet up at the Chef Hanamura's restaurant, and the others who haven't met him wanted to see him, Sock was curled up on his chest, he was also asleep, he went over to them and gingerly got Sock off of him, he placed him on the ground and he purred, and he rubbed his body against his legs.

He slightly nudged Hajime awake, "Sir Hinata, our comrades and I had thought of going to the Chef Hanamura's restaurant, as the others wished to see you." Tanaka-San said, he heard Hajime groaned tiredly, and he rubbed his eyes, he stayed by his- Sir Hinata and he sat up, "Okay... let me get dressed." Hajime replied, "I have clothing for you to change into, Sir Hinata. I hope for you to find them comfortable." Tanaka-San said, Hajime was surprised that they had clothes for him..

Wait.. now he thinks about it, how did they even get his measurements? Like.. what about all the clothes that he has in the drawers? Wait.. nevermind he doesn't want to find out, "Thank you Tanaka- San, what is the clothing that you want me to wear?" He asked, he needs to strategize on how to contact Naeegi- Kun, and get the Remnants over to the Neo World Program, he wants to help them.. especially Nanami, but for now he needs to play by their rules, "This was personally made for you by your deceased sister." Tanaka- San said, it was a mostly black outfit but it had some red in it.

It was a double long vents suit, the inside of it was a free speech red, Tanaka- San exited his room, and he placed it on, it felt comfortable. If it weren't for the colors of it, he would've worn this a lot more, but it felt too weird to be seen in this when the Remnants are usually associated with it.. only Nidia- San and Owari- San are the only exception from what he knows, but it would be nice to meet everyone else. It could be beneficial for him to see how he could help them all and save Nanami-San.

He took the clothing and went into the bathroom change, the fabric felt soft to the touch and the cuffs felt right. Tanaka-San knocked on the door, "Sir Hinata, have you finished?" He asked, "Yes, I'll come out now." Hajime replied, he opened up the door, and Gundham was dressed in his usual clothes, "Thank you, we shall leave now." Tanaka- San said, he lead Hajime out and back towards the restaurant.

He saw new people, but he did recognize Soda- Kun, Pekoyama- San, and Kuzurya- Kun. They went over to their table, and he gave them an awkward smile, "Tell us if any one of em' is bothering you." Kuzurya- Kun said, "I will.. so who is everyone else?" Hajime asked, "The one with two pigtails is Saionji Hiyoko, and the one next to her is Mioda Ibuki, the one with the camera is Koizumi Mahiru, the one with chopped hair is Tsumiki Mikan, and the one who is the chef is named Hanamura Teruteru. You have seen everyone else but the princess, servant mortal, and imposer." Tanaka- San said, Hajime felt a little awkward with everyone there.

He looked over at Koizumi- Chan, sge smiled, "Hello Mr. Hinata, would you like to see some of my photos?" She asked, "He wouldn't Mahiru, remember what Lady Enoshima said about her brother." Saionji- San said, "Oh.. sorry about that Mr. Hajime, maybe some other time." Koizumi- Chan replied, "Huh...? Alright then.." Hajime quietly replied to the duo, "How are you doing dear? Have you been feeling well?" Hanamaru- Kun asked, "I've been doing good." Hajime replied, "That's good dear, say if you need any fresh meat. I'm your guy." Hanamaru- Kun said, "Cease your perverse behavior." Tanaka- San said, he extended his arm in front of me.

Hanamaru- Kun shrugged a bit and walked off, Mioda- Chan then went over and rest her arms on the table, "Soooo... you're the Hinata Hajime that everyone keeps buzzing about. Since Gundham- Chan already introduced myself, there is no need for introductions." Mioda- Chan said, "Yeah I guess..." Hajime replied, "Annyywwayyysss... Ibuki has to go now. Cya later Hajime- Chan, let's go Hiyoko- Chan." Miodua- Chan left the table, "Goodbye Hinata." Saionji-San said before she left with Mioda- Chan. Hajime awkwardly smiled at them leaving, "Don't be frightened Sir Hinata as I am here with you." Tanaka- San said, "Thank you Tanaka- San." Hajime replied, he smiled a bit.

A brown cat came through, "Hazelnut.. there you are." Tanaka- San said happily, he got away from the table and went to picked her up, she raised her paws up as Tanaka- San picked her up, he held her like a baby. He when back to the table, Hazelnut looked at Hajime curiously, she meowed at him, her tail flicking curiously towards him, "That is Sir Hinata, Hazelnut, he would be our future leader." Tanaka- San said, Hajime didn't want to draw attention to the 'future leader' part, he could ask about it later. He smiled softly at Hazelnut and slowly blinked at her.

Tanaka- San seemed happy that he knew to slow blink at her, "It seems that you have some knowledge of the feline species, Sir Hinata." Tanaka- San said, "Yeah, a few stray cats used to live in my neighborhood. I would always try and feed them." He replied, "You are... very kind hearted Sir Hinata. I give you my thanks for helping the defenseless felines." He said, Hajime didn't reply to him, he played with Hazelnut, she purred a lot and licked his hand, she held onto it with her paws.

He smiled softly at her and pet her with his other hand, she was looking at him curiously, she was interested by the hooman that her Papa loves, she wants to know how this hooman is or how he behaves. Perhaps when she passes by Sock, she could ask about the new hooman. She purred in her Papa's hold, she sensed a good aura around the 'Sir Hinata' person, so she knows that she could trust him with her Papa.

Tanaka- San looked happily at his baby, she was happy with Sir Hinata. He knew that Sir Hinata would make an amazing ruler, he would care for all of his babies. He smiled softly, Sir Hinata continued to pet Hazelnut, she made air biscuits for him. Sir Hinata kept on petting her, and cooing at her. He knew that he would have to bring Sir Hinata home soon as he didn't want those pesky teens to steal him away, he knows that they'll only bring him down.

Sir Hinata would become an amazing ruler thanks to him and his comrades. He would make sure that Sir Hinata will become loved, he was Lady Enoshima's brother after all. He deserves the best, he doesn't know it yet but they would slowly introduce him to ruling, he can learn from the princess. He knows that she would teach him the proper way of raising his kingdom, and they'll all be by his side.

Sir Hinata just has to meet everyone else first.. perhaps later as the princess has been busy with her duties, but he knew that his Sir Hinata is patient and will wait for her. He smiled softly, he had to bring Sir Hinata home after his meal. He took Sir Hinata's hand carefully as he lead him out.

The walk home wasn't much, but it was nice, Hazelnut was brought home and Sock was happy to see her. He brought Hazelnut down to the ground and she hopped out of the hold, she ran around the house to let out extra energy. He smiled fondly at that, Sir Hinata was home as well. He knows that they had a long day, and Sir Hinata as three more people to introduce himself to them. He feed all of his babies and he went to take Sir Hinata to bed.

Sir Hinata was a little confused, "It's still morning, or like afternoon." He knew that, but he knew that Sir Hinata had experienced an operation so he needs all the rest he needs, "But you just came out of an operation not too long ago. You need to rest." Sir Hinata finally relented, "Fine.. I'll go sleep." He left so he could change and sleep.

Hajime was glad that Tanaka-San left, he could have some breathing room. He changed rather quickly, as he just wanted to lay down and not bother with the world. He got underneath the covers and he just laid there. He wasn't tired but he didn't want Tanaka-San to make him go to bed. He just relaxed then suddenly a small white paw hit his cheek, it was Sock, he was purring contently and he laid near his neck.

Sock was looking at him curiously then Hazelnut came in and laid on his stomach,  she curled into a ball and she began purring happily. The comforting purrs were peaceful and helped him feel better. They were the two things that helped him right now, he was beginning to get sleepy again. He didn't want to disturb the kitties so he just fell asleep with the kitties on him.
