"Jaisey Lakshman, Sita maiya ki baat nahi taaltey waisey hi merey OmRu wunki Anika bhabhi ki baat nahi taaltey" Dadi said

"pa-"

"tum kahogi ki Om, Shivaay aur Anika ko ek sath nahi dekhna chata" Dadi said

"leykin jaha tak mujey pata hai Anika khud ana nai chathi" Dadi added

"KYA?!" Shivanya said in shock

"Mera matlab aapko aisa kyu lagtha hai dadi?" she said quickly changing her tone

"Tumey kya lagtha hai?..ki Shivaay ney Anika ko divorce diya?"

"...Anika ney Shivaay ko choda hai" she said, It was another shock wave for Shivanya

"WHAT?" she said trying to suppress her shock

"Ha...aur jaha tak mujey pata hai, Kuch toh huva hai Jissey Anika ghar chodkey chaligai aur  OmRu bhi janthi hai ki kya huva hai aur Anika key wapas aney paar kya hoga..iss liyeh woh chup hai" Dadi said

Shivanya was shocked

"Shivanya beta, sirf deykha aor suna hi sach nahi hota....tumarey bin janey bhi bohat chalta hai" Dadi said patting her head

"Raat bohat hogai..sojana" Dadi said before leaving

Her last words reminded of something

Shivanya walked into her room and plopped onto the bed

"Shivanya.." Anika's voice echoed in her mind

"ji mummy" Kid Shivanya said lifting her head up to see her mother

Anika's situation was worsening day by day and it is clearly visible on her face

"Idhar aao" Anika called her while signaling with her hand

Shivanya quickly walked to her mother and stood in front of her in silence

She didn't dare to look at her mother's sulken, dried up face, after her father's death Anika was slowly started drifting away from her sanity, the marks on her white night gown and her messed up hair can be taken as proof

"kya huva beta?" she asked as her voice became hoarse

"Kuch nahi ma..mai theek hu" Shivanya said giving her best smile

"Jhoot" Anika said making Shivanya look at the ground again

"maa sey bhi jhoot boleygi?" Anika asked to which Shivanya was quite

"naraz hai chotey papa aur chachu sey?" Anika asked

Shivanya didn't reply but kept on staring at the floor and her mothers legs

"toh tu naraz hai.....kyu?" Anika asked

"woh...kyuki woh hamey yaha akeley cho key chaleygai" Shivanya said

"Kyuki woh tumey akeley chodkey chaleygai" Anika repeated even thought Shivanya was not looking she is pretty sure Anika is nodding her head while looking up

"Aur?" she asked

"Aur mujey lagtha hai ki vuney hamara sath deyna chaiyeh mainly iss situation mai...leykin woh bhaag gai yaha sey, Paar dadi aur dai bhi nahi chatey ki woh jayeh" She quickly explained

"Woh bhaag nahi gai hai, mainey vuney bheyja hai" Anika said making Shivanya look at her in shock

"Magar kyu?" Shivanya asked

"Tum kya chathi ho Vanya...? ki Ruvya aur Mahima bhi wohi dukh sey gusrey jisey tum abb jarahi ho?" Anika asked

"Woh bhi aapney papa ko khodey?"

"....." Shivanay knew she didn't want that but somewhere her heart can't accept this as a reason

"bolo" Anika asked

"...nai" Shivanya said

"Shivanya merey taraf dekho" Anika said making her lift her head

Anika's chubby face was dried up she had clear dark circles under her eyes and her eyes emits no emotions, they are like two dark pits

"Tumey vunki kya jarurat hai...tumarey liyeh mai huna, Toh vunsey nara maat ho" she said smiling

Shivanya smiled back at her, giving her a genuine smile not the fake smile that she shows to other but a real smile which only her parents know

"Aur tum kya kar rahi ho?" She asked

"woh kuch nai maa, buss hamra last month ka Income aur expenses sheet dekhrahi hu" She replied

"Yeh konsa school ka homework hai beta?" Anika asked giving a confused look to Shivanya

"Homework nahi ma" Shivanya replied laughing at her expression

"...toh phir tum Homework karney ki umar mai yeh kyu karahi ho?" she asked making her smile drop

"woh.."

"Bacho ko bachpana jina chaiyeh, yeh kaam badey karengey" Anika said hugging her daughter

"Pata hai ki halat bacho ko badey aur aapno sey choto ki zimeydari nhibaney  paar majboor kardey thi hai....leykin tumari Maa hai na mai sub sambalungi" Anika said

"Aapko yeh sabb ati hai" Shivanya asked lifting her head

"Aur naitho kya, tumey lagtha hai ki mai sirf khana bana sakthi hu?" Anika asked

"Maa...waisey aapko khana banabhi nahi ata" She said

"bana thi hu beta...sirf tumey merey hath hai aloo puri nahi khana"

"Oily food, maa"

"waisey khaney sey yaad aya ki aapney khana khaya?" She added

"nai, tumney?"

"nai, aap yahi rukiyeh, mai khana lakathi hu dono milkey khayengey" Shivanya said going to bring food

She literally ran to kitchen

'Chapathi aur daal' she thought keeping two chapathis in plate and curry in a small bowl

she balanced the food while keeping the pace to reached the room

"Maa" she called reaching the room but Anika was not there

"Maa" she called again looking around

Cold wind rushed past her and something caught her eye near the window, Shivanya turned around to something that made her blood run cold and shock her whole world

There she was, Her mother standing on the window still, the wind made her white night gown and hair fly

"M..Maa?" she called out with her trembling voice

Anika looked back, the expression on her face was nothing but peace, she smiled at Shivanya. before jumping off

Shivanya's mind didn't register what just happen as if she was lost, it was the loud thup sound of body hiding the ground which brought her back

"MAA!" she yelled at top of her lungs dropping the plate onto the ground and running to see down
