The Lost Cities: Havenfeild & Foxfire
Sophie POV
I woke up after a thankfully restful and nightmare-free night of sleep full of dread for my Telepathy session that afternoon. For a second I wished that I was back living in the Forbidden Cities with my human family, if I faked being sick they would have let me stay home, but here Grady and Edaline would probably just hail Elwin to come check on me, "HEY, I bet Elwin might let me stay in the Healing Center during Telepathy today!" I thought, but then I realized that he probably wouldn't let me skip for no particular reason and resigned myself to the fact that I would have to endure a long and likely challenging conversation with Fitz today. But nonetheless I got up and dressed in my modified red Level 5 Foxfire uniform and filled all the hidden pockets with throwing stars and other small weapons and tucked Hope, my dagger into her holster under my cape. Biana must be rubbing off on me because I let Vertina walk me through a complicated hairdo, and convince me to put on a small amount of make up.

"Wow, something must really be wrong with me if I'm letting Vertina convince me to do my hair and wear makeup!" I thought as I headed downstairs to the kitchen where I found Edaline waiting with a tray full of freshly baked treats from breakfast, I immediately took a few Butterblasts, Toasty Turnovers and Sweet berry Swirls. By the time I had finished eating both Grady and Edaline were out in the pastures feeding all the creatures and it was time to head to school, so I raced upstairs to the Leapmaster with Sandor at my heels.
---Time skip---
I was super stressed about my telepathy session in the afternoon, that I couldn't manage to scrape together any concentration during my morning session, Elementalism. I was supposed to be bottling a tornado, but I couldn't. After I had broken my twenty-fifth bottle, my Mentor, Lady Adeluna gave me a pass to head to lunch early, and as I left I heard her mutter something about how 3 hour sessions are way too long. Somehow I was surprised to find my boyfriend Keefe already at lunch, (A/N: Yes I know that if Sophie is a level 5 then Keefe and Fitz would be in the elite levels but I wanted to have them be involved so they are level 7s but bc of the war and Wylie's kidnapping from the elite towers the Councillors decided that until the war was over all Foxfire students would live at home, plus this allows them to not have to sneak away constantly to go on missions for the Black Swan.) why I am surprised, I don't know because Keefe loves to skip class. I went over to the lunch line and filled my tray with desserts, Lihn would approve. I went over and sat next to Keefe, "Trying to impress someone, Foster?" he said with a smirk, "No, I have a boyfriend, and I don't cheat" I responded with a laugh. "Sophie, what's wrong, I can feel your nerves." Keefe said in an uncharacteristically serious tone, "Well... you know how I had that fight with Fitz last week?" I said quietly, "Yes, what about it?" Keefe said, grabbing my hand under the table and sending me a calming breeze, "Well, Fitz is still mad about it and he won't talk to me or even acknowledge my existence and I have telepathy with him after lunch! I've been stressing over it all day, that's why I'm at lunch early." I explained in a rush. Then Keefe gave me a comforting hug and told me to stop thinking about it and focus on now. By the time the rest of our group, except Fitz had arrived, as usual Tam and Biana sat next to each other and Bi was resting her head on his shoulder and he had his arm around her, I wasn't stressed..... until Stina asked where Fitz was and I had to explain the whole thing again. Thankfully before Stina had the chance to ask anymore questions someone walked over and asked if he could sit with us, "Wait, you manifested! That's amazing! Of course you can sit with us." I exclaimed as Jensi sat down, "Yeah! Right after Midterms last year, I'm a Charger!" he exclaimed "And since my ability was already super strong when I manifested they wanted Councillor Zarina to be my mentor AND she agreed to do it!" he continued, "Actually, I bet having a Charger on our side might help us, you could stun them with electricity, and other stuff..." Maruca said, "I wonder what would happen if we combined our abilities, you know, me, you, Marella, and maybe Tam and Wylie" Lihn said, "Yeah, me and Lihn found a way to combine her Hydrokenisis and my pryokeneisis, I wonder what would happen if we added electricity to the mix." Marella added. I was happy and Fitz and my next session were forgotten for now. We spent the rest of lunch catching Jensi up on everything and coming up with a time for me and Dex to slip off to the Forbidden Cities to get another phone. Then the thing I had been dreading all of lunch, the bell rang signaling us to head to our next class, Bi and I were the last ones to leave to table and as we left she whispered "good luck", I needed all the luck I could get.
