Biana POV:
Jessa was having a bit of a hard time adjusting to the elvin world, and our bodyguards made it worse, every time one of them was nearby she would whip out a sword or some other weapon. All of us were in awe of the fact that she was able to kill without freaking out, she'd told us stories about the two wars she'd fought in and all of the monsters she'd killed. She and Lihn had become close, bonding over their similar powers. She'd moved out of Everglen soon after meeting her grandfather, as he'd invited her to live with him.
Jessa POV:
I had left Everglen and moved in with my grandfather, the council wanted me to attend Foxfire starting at the beginning of the term. I was apprehensive about it, I dislike crowds because it's harder to pick out monsters, and kill them. In the end it was agreed that my mentors would hold my lessons either at night or at my grandfathers home, and I would be at Foxfire once a week for my sessions. One evening Grandfather came to me, he told me that I had been invited to a gala to celebrate New Years. "Can we just not go?" I asked him, "No, here if you're invited to a party it's pretty much expected that you show up, I'm sorry Jessa." he told me. I was reluctant at first, but eventually came to terms with it when I was told I could have my sword with me. The party was being hosted by the Vackers, so I had to be dressed super formal. I went over to Everglen early to get ready with the other girls before the gala. We girls were getting ready in Biana's room and the boys were getting ready down the hall in Fitz's room.
