Continue from the last part.....

The following day, which marked the wedding day, was filled with joy and excitement. The haldi ceremony for Jaanvi and Abhimaan was a fun-filled affair, with both families thoroughly enjoying themselves. As the day wore on and evening approached, the anticipation heightened, as within a few hours or so, Jaanvi and Abhimaan would be united in the sacred bond of marriage

As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm glow over the landscape, Abhimaan prepared himself for one of the biggest days of his life, a moment he had never imagined would come to pass, at least in this lifetime. He adorned an elegant ivory sherwani intricately embroidered with golden threads, complemented by a cream coloured churidar and a stole draped gracefully over his shoulder. Adding to his royal look was a pagdi wrapped around his head, completing his look for the special occasion

Samir entered Abhimaan's room and smiled warmly at the sight of his grandson adorned in the attire of a groom

Samir: Waah !! Aaj mera Abhi toh ek dam ek raja ki tarah lag raha hai

Darsh: Dadu, raja toh lagna hi tha humare Abhi ko, aakhir woh apni rani ko jo lane jaa raha hai yeh

Darsh, who trailed behind Samir, couldn't contain his excitement as he spoke, his eyes gleaming with joy and delight at the sight of his best-friend adorned as the groom

Samir: Woh toh hai puttar, warna humesha toh ye ekdum akdu banke rehta hai

Abhimaan: Dadu !! Aaj ke din toh reham karo mere upar

Abhimaan protested with a pout, scrunching his nose like a child, drawing chuckles from both his grandfather and best-friend. Samir glanced at Darsh and instructed him to check if everyone was ready for the baraat. Darsh acknowledge with a nod and made his way out of the room, leaving the grandfather - grandson duo behind to share a brief moment of reflection before they departed for the bride's house

As Darsh exited, Samir turned to Abhimaan, placing a comforting hand on his shoulder, he asked

Samir: Abhi, sab thik hai na puttar ?

Abhimaan: Haa dadu sab thik hai, kyu ? Kya huwa ?

He replied softly, taking his dadu's hands into his own and guided him sit on the bed, while he settled beside him

Samir: Nhi, mujhe teri aankhon mein woh khushi, woh chamak nhi dikh rahi jo humesha hoti hai jab bhi tu koi naya kaam karne jata hai. Aur ye toh teri shaadi hai, puttar

Abhimaan let out an internal sigh, his lips curving into a gentle smile, a facade one, as he replied

Abhimaan: Aapko na bas aisa lag raha hai, dadu, par waisa bilkul bhi nhi hai jo aap soch rahe ho. I am happy

Samir: Tu sach mein khush hai na in sab se se ? Tu sach mein yeh shaadi karna chahta hai na ?

Abhimaan: Haa dadu mai khush hu aur haanji mai yeh shaadi karna chahta hu.

Waada kiya hai maine aap se aur nanu se bhi, toh woh wada toh nibhana padega na

Aur issey pehle aap puche ki khush rehne mein aur shaadi ke wadein mein kya relation hai, toh mai bata du ki aapne kaha tha mujhse ki agar mai shaadi kar lu toh aap khush rahoge. Aur dadu, aapki khush toh aapka ye akdu sa pota, which is me,  is also khush

Samir: Baton ko ghuma phira ke bolna koi tujh se sikhe bas

Abhimaan: Mai bataon ko nhi ghuma raha hu, jo hai wohi bol raha hu. Aur ek baat mai ab jo bhi kar raha hu na sirf aapke liye dadu
