I wake up to an empty bed and it's cold. Nikki must have gotten up early. I sit up to see Nikki sitting on the phone with someone having a intense conversation.
"Listen, I'm done with the Drugs." He paused. "Because I don't have just myself anymore." Another pause and he turns to look at me. He smiles. "She's the world to me and so is our child, I don't want to ruin my life and do the same thing my father did." He keeps eye contact with me. "Goodbye." He hangs up.
"Nikki.." he walks over and sits next to me. My face pales and I feel my food from last night coming up so I make a B-line to the bathroom. Right as I'm over the toilet my food comes up and Nikki s holding my hair out of my face.
"Without you Nikole my life would be incomplete and especially now that you're pregnant." I continue to hurl. After I'm done I sit back on my heels.
"Nikki that was greatest thing you said in a while." He smiles.
"Well, I actually have one more thing." He helps me stand up and he reaches into his pocket pulling out a small velvet box. He gets down on one knee. I cover my mouth as he opens the box. "Nikole Rose Costello, if nothing lasts forever, will you be my nothing. Marry me?"
I gasp and nod. "YES, YES, YES, I MILLION TIMES YES!" He smile and puts the ring on my finger.
