The boy I remember

I remember now, his name is Eren, he was a kid I met in the underground city, at the time, he was small and weak, he had gotten into trouble by trying to leave the underground without paying for it, Isabel took pity on him cuz he was small, weak, and starving, Isabel convinced me to help him out a bit, so we feed him some food and we left, I assumed that was the last we'd see of him, but Isabel kept finding him, over and over again, he never talked, but he did write in a notebook he had, but there was one memory I remember in particular, we've been friends for awhile, Isabel was playing with him while I was cleaning, but I stopped as soon as I heard a beautiful melody, him laughing, that was the first time I even heard his voice, it was mesmerizing, it sounded like it was a song from heaven, voices of an angel, the sound of hope. That's the only ways I can describe it, and his smile wasn't any less mesmerizing. She was tickling him, it was so adorable, seeing as how he looked before we got so close, to that moment, it was almost impossible to tell they were the same person. Something thatI always thought was weird was every month, he'd leave somewhere. I don't know why or where, but he did. And I didn't try to stick my nose in places it doesn't belong. As I recalled where I saw the boy, more and more questions came up about him, where was he those months, why he tried to leave so desperately, why he was so quiet, and why would he steal ODM gear. "-sigh-" I was suddenly feeling sleepy, so, I decided that I can put those thoughts aside for tomorrow when I see him, I dreaded the thought of going back. But I had too, and I must. Soon after some paperwork, I passed out, face down on my desk. I don't know what will happen tomorrow, but I feel like it's important. "Yawn-.....God.. what time is it?" I looked over at my clock, 4:01, well, at least I have more than enough time to get ready, today I'm going back to the one place I loathe the most, the underground city, as I get up, I start getting dressed in my uniform, do my hair, clean my face, you know, the average day to day routines. After my morning routine, I went to get some breakfast, I remembered what Hange said yesterday about how I don't miss any meals no matter how busy I am. And I have to admit, I do, but that's because I know how it feels to starve, and I don't ever want to feel that again, so if one of my recruits skip a meal, I won't have it. I'll shove it down their throat, unless of course they're sick. Anyway, as I walk through the halls, I can hear chatter from the recruits, some talking about how we're going to the underground city today, others about how I smiled last night. I swear, shitty-glasses is a pretty annoying bitch. Still, I have things to do before we go, the rest of the day went by quickly, I did paperwork, cleaned a bit, went to a meeting, and now we're all getting ready to leave to the underground city, and by "we" I mean me, Erwin, Hange, my squad, Hange's squad, and a military policeman who is going to help us with the case. We were on our horses waiting for Erwin who was currently talking to the boy he liked, Armin Arlert, I believe. Well, no matter who he is, he's making Erwin take his sweet sweet time, I'm not complaining tho, I'm not really looking forward to this expedition. " how long are we gonna stand here?" The military guy asked "well that just matters on how long Armin is going to take his breath away~" Hange said like the moron she is. "Oi, Erwin, how long are you gonna make us wait? I could have gotten dinner by now." I said moodily. I definitely wasn't excited. But the only thing I'm looking forward to is seeing that brat again so I can ask him these damn questions that are killing me! "Oh.. sorry about that, just in a captivating conversation." Erwin said 'professionally' as he got on his horse "mmmm~ yes~ a very captivating conversation~" Hange said mockingly. Erwin shot her a very threatening glare, "shut it Hange, now, let's get going shall we?" Erwin asked "yes please." The military policeman said. And we were off, as we road to our destination, my mind was racing with possibilities, i didn't know what was going to happen, but there's nothing we can do but wait and see.
