She also made dinner. Shuiyu went to inspect Shanzhou, and Yun Si brought a portion of the prepared meal to Pei Xiaoying's room. She knocked on the door before going in.

The room was quiet and peaceful. The boy was sitting on the bed in a daze, his empty eyes looking into the room, not knowing what he was thinking.

There was no light in his room, and Yun Si was also watching him in the dark.

"It will get cold if it is left for too long, so eat early."

"Thank you, Miss."

Pei Xiaoying nodded after hearing this, raised her hand slightly, groped to the table and sat down, and ate obediently by herself. He ate very slowly, and occasionally the rice fell out of the spoon halfway, and when he put it into his mouth again, the spoon was empty.

He put down the spoon after taking a few bites and whispered, "Miss, do you have something to ask Ying'er?"

Yun Si looked into his eyes and said slowly, "Do you remember where the temple was that Jingyao took you to hide before you became blind?"

Pei Xiaoying was ill at the time, so she naturally didn't know the exact location, but she still vaguely remembered some of the surroundings. After learning the information she wanted, Yun Si turned and left Pei Xiaoying's room.

She cooked a light dinner, and now she was eating with Pei Jingyao, she was more observing him. The man chewed the rice in small bites, almost eating it by the grain. Yun Si put the boiled shrimp in his hand into his bowl. Pei Jingyao looked up at her and then thanked her in a low voice.

Yun Si was peeling the shrimp slowly, and when he heard it, he only replied, "Why are you being polite to me?"

The moment the shrimp meat entered his mouth, Yun Si frowned with a strange expression, then chewed a few bites quickly and swallowed it. There is little shrimp in the northern river, and this is her first time cooking shrimp meat, but it tastes fishy.

She looked up at Pei Jingyao. The man was chewing the shrimp with his eyes downcast, as if he couldn't feel the fishy smell. Yun Si's eyes were a little dark.

She whispered, "Don't eat it. The shrimp is too fishy."

Pei Jingyao glanced at her, and there seemed to be some confusion in her eyes. He swallowed the shrimp, and then he opened his lips and said softly, "I think it tastes good."

Yun Si's throat was choked, and she slowly put down her chopsticks and looked at Pei Jingyao. The latter also realized Yun Si's heavy mood and put down her chopsticks and looked at him.

Yun Si's helplessness deepened, "I did think you were too thin before, and wanted you to eat more, but you don't have to force yourself to eat something you don't like."

Pei Jingyao didn't know why she suddenly mentioned this, and only said blankly, "I'm not picky about food."

It's good to have something to eat, how could he be picky about food.

Yun Si followed up and said, "You can learn to be picky about food." Pei

Jingyao's heart suddenly jumped, and he lowered his eyes the next second. He heard Yun Si say wait and then get up and leave.

When Yun Si came back, she was holding a porcelain bowl. The bowl was dark. Pei Jingyao smelled a hint of sweetness with the aroma of medicine. When she took the bowl from Yun Si, her voice rang out.

"Drink it while it's hot."

Pei Jingyao held the warm bowl and asked curiously, "What is this?"

"Sugar water cooked with purple sand sugar and longan. Ya'an said that drinking this would make you feel less uncomfortable, so I asked Shuiyu to go down the mountain to buy some."
