Gautami woke up as the sunrays fell on her face disturbing her sleep. She was a total mess. Yeah, she slept while crying last night.
She yawned while stretching her body as much she could. A smile was crept on her face. She thanks god every morning after waking up for giving her one more day to live.
But as soon as the reality hit her, her smile faded. Her eyes welled up. She didn't thank god today. She went and stood infront of a idol of god which was gifted by Abhyudaya some special occasion.
"Why? Why did you keep me alive again? Why can't you just call me near you? Why god why?", she asked with tears in her eyes.
"I wish I could die....", she mumbled and looked down. Few drops of tears fell from her eyes as she looked down clenching her dress.
She washed her face and went to their dinning room holding a fake smile.
"Good morning dear", her mom said while serving the breakfast.
"Good morning maa", gautami said but her voice was low.
"what happened beta?", her mom asked with a hint of concern in her eyes.
" N-noth---", gautami was cut by Geeta, "yes di, what happened? Kal se ap aise ho. Do you need any kind of help? Tell us the problem di. We will try our best to help you"
"Nothing happened, I just woke up that's why", gautami said and smiled then took a bite.
They finished their breakfast and in a few while they heard a noise. It was a horn. G/M went open the door as someone knocked at it.
Gautami and Geeta were waiting for their mom to return. After few seconds their mom came with a smile on her face welcoming someone.
Gautami peaked and saw Abhyudaya coming towards them. He handed some packets of sweets to their mom and came to the living room where Gautami and Geeta were already present.
He came and passed a smile to both of them. Meanwhile gautami who just saw that man again was trying her best to control her emotions by putting a fake smile on her face which didn't reach upto her eyes.
Abhyudaya sat on the sofa and looked at gautami who was already staring at him. It felt like both were talking by their eyes.
That's when G/M entered with a tray full with sweets in her hand.
"Are are iski kya zarurat thi?", abhyudaya said still holding a smile.
" No beta, you have to take it!", her mom said and placed the tray infront of him.
He ate 2 sweets being forced by G/M.
They chatted for few minutes while.
"Geeta? This evening I'm gonna buy the ring. So I hope you are free", abhyudaya said.
" I'm so sorry Abhyudaya but I have plans for today. I'm going to my friend Isha's home. So...", geeta excused
"Oh", abhyudaya said then looked at gautami who was lost in her own thoughts.
"Gautami", gautami's chain of thought broke as she heard her name being called by Abhyudaya.
She looked at him with a questioning expression.
" today I'm gonna select ring for the engagement. So would you like to come?", he asked genuinely
"Wh-why me? I mean it's your and Geeta's engagement, take her with you", gautami said confusingly
"I asked her but she has some other schedule, And I have seen your work Gautami. Your choice is really good. Please come with me na!", he requested
"Butt--"
"Please gautami, I insist", Abhyudaya said
"Aree go with him na! Choose a nice ring for me okk?", Geeta said and chuckled
Gautami finally agreed not being able to refuse him, "ok..."
Abhyudaya smiled and asked permission to leave.
"Beta itni jaldi?", G/M said
" yes Aunty, I have to. I have some pending work which I have to submit within 3 days. So..", he said and smiled
"Ok beta..", G/M sighed then smiled looking at him.
Abhyudaya then left from there.
Without saying anything, gautami straight went to her room and locked the door silently.
She sat on her bed, folding her knees upto her chest, looking at blank.
"Why he asked her to go instead of Geeta? Just because of her choice?", she questioned in her mind
"maybe yes", she answered herself and laid on the bed buring her face in the pillow.
The pillow was getting wet due to tears. Nowadays whenever she sees him she feels like crying.
She can't stop loving him even after he is not her. He is her first and last love. No one could ever take his place in her heart. She will be his forever, till her last breath.
She couldn't make him stay with her, she couldn't confess, but she will love him always.
She got up, took her headphones, laid on the bed closing her eyes, letting the tears flow while listening to music.
Music was her only therapy. It is the only way to find a little peace ignoring the cruel world,

Time skips to afternoon..
Gautami was about to get up from bed as she had to get ready. She always loved shopping and all. But today, it was not like usual. Today she was sad, her face was pale.
That's when she heard a horn. She knew who it was. Her mom was out for some work and her sister was gone to her friend's house.
She covered her emotions with a mask of fake smile. But she can't stop her eyes. Her eyes were explaining the deep injury in her heart.
She went and opened the door only to find that man standing infront of her wearing a black blazer.
" let's go", he said.
"Um..ok", she said
He scanned her from top to bottom. He glided his hands into his pockets of pants, nodded and said narrowing his eyes, " don't you think it will be weird if you go to a jwellery shop wearing thiss"
