Living alone in San Francisco, Dennis is a 34-year-old workaholic. He has amazing talents in video editing, a 6'3 height, a cold face, and a peculiar personality. Good news is he works remotely, so he does not need to socialize with people too frequently.
Sitting in front of his laptop for 5 hours in a row is his daily routine. There is a nice kitchen in his house, but he rarely cooks. Whenever he hears his stomach growls, he orders his favorite meal from DoorDash: a hamburger with no lettuce, 7 mozzarella sticks with a huge amount of ketchup, and a piece of cheese cake. It can never be a nice kitchen without a big refrigerator. In Dennis's full size refrigerator, Dr. Pepper takes up half of the space.
As a workaholic, Dennis has a busy schedule. His favorite pastime is to walk his dog, Max. He does have a few buddies, but Dennis is usually the quiet one that watches others talking and laughing. Like most guys, Dennis also loves playing video games, but his insane workload has stopped him from enjoying it for a few months.
In a scorching hot summer afternoon in August, Dennis feels so stressed and sore from the work. He took a deep breathe, and closed his eyes for a second.
So tired.
After a short break, Dennis went back to work and tried to search for a new editing software to finish his work. While Dennis was browsing through the Internet, an ad popped up. He cast a glance at it. It was a dating app called DarkLove.
Being single for more than two years, Dennis clicked on it out of curiosity.
"Are you tired of vanilla relationship?"
Dennis stared at the slogan of the app for a few seconds.
Dennis downloaded it.
The interface of the app is simple. He signed up, typed up his location and age. Dennis was about to type his real name, but he stopped himself before he hit "enter". It seemed like a BDSM kinky dating app, he supposed, so he chose a fake name instead: DarkDom. Then he went back to work.
