Part 2: I Found You

When he finally moved his eyes away from the laptop, it was already 7 p.m.
It took him 4 hours to finish the work. Now Dennis felt hungry.

He could hear the clock ticking and the air conditioner buzzing. The house is so roomy and quiet. Sometimes a bit too roomy for just one single person.

He ordered the same combo as usual, took out a strawberry flavored Dr. Pepper from the fridge, and wiped off the cold, tiny drops on the can.

He saw a notification from that interesting dating app.

A girl visited his profile.

Dennis clicked in her profile.
The girl's username is Bunny, a 21-year-old Asian girl. Her profile pic did not show her face. Instead, it showed her full body in black thigh highs and a white oversized sweater. Just like a soft, fluffy bunny. Facing outside the window, this girl sat at the edge of a sofa. Dennis couldn't see her face clearly due to the angle. Dennis zoomed in the picture. All he could guess about this mysterious girl was that she may not be very tall, judging by her proportion to the sofa.

"Hmm, interesting."

The first line of her profile caught Dennis's attention: "A bit shy and timid."
She did not put too much information on it. That short sentence was everything on her profile.

"This white sweater is really cute." Dennis started at her profile pic for a few minutes, and sent a message: "I don't mind shy at first."

A sudden rush of excitement flowed through his body.

"That's weird."

He thought. He has not had this feeling for years.

At this very moment, his dinner was delivered to his door. Dennis put down his phone and went open the door.
