As the first light of dawn filtered through the trees, the academy courtyard came alive with a vibrant energy. Students practiced their skills with focused diligence, their laughter and chatter mingling with the sounds of clashing swords and incantations. Among them, a small group of friends gathered around a stone table, their faces illuminated by the soft morning light.
Electra, Jingliu, Alex, Blade, and Argenti sat together, enjoying a brief respite from their training. Snacks and drinks were spread across the table, and their conversation was punctuated by laughter and easy camaraderie."So," Alex began with a mischievous grin, "did anyone else almost trip during that last training session, or was it just me?"Jingliu, her eyes sparkling with amusement, replied, "Just you, Alex. But don't worry, we all have our clumsy moments."Electra chimed in with a teasing tone, "Except maybe Blade. He's always so composed and serious."Blade raised an eyebrow, his expression a mixture of amusement and mild reproach. "It's called focus, Electra. But I did see you nearly knock over a training dummy."Electra laughed, a light, melodic sound that seemed to brighten the morning. "Hey, I was experimenting with a new move! It's all part of the process."Argenti, who had been quietly enjoying his snack, leaned in with a grin. "Experimentation is key to growth, right? Though, I must say, your graceful falls are quite charming."Electra's cheeks flushed slightly, but she smiled warmly. "Oh, come on, Argenti. You're too kind."Jingliu, sensing a shift in the conversation, decided to steer it in a different direction. "Speaking of training, did anyone else feel like they unlocked something new in the labyrinth?"Alex nodded eagerly. "Yeah, my voice manipulation feels more precise now. It's like I can control the vibrations better."Blade's eyes were thoughtful as he considered his own progress. "My reflections seem stronger, too. More than just bouncing back attacks, it's like I can amplify or redirect the energy."Electra's excitement was evident as she added, "I felt that too! My electric control is sharper. It's like the labyrinth helped us focus our powers."Argenti leaned back, gazing up at the clear blue sky with a contemplative expression. "It definitely brought out something new in all of us. But there's still so much to learn and master."Jingliu nodded in agreement. "And to prepare for. We can't forget that Lord Phobus and the twins are still out there, plotting."Alex's grin widened, his tone light-hearted despite the serious undertone of their discussion. "But for now, let's enjoy this moment. Not every day we get to relax like this."Blade, his usual stoicism softened by the peaceful atmosphere, agreed. "True. We should savor these moments of calm."Electra's smile was warm and genuine as she looked around at her friends. "You know, despite everything, I'm really glad we all ended up here together. I can't imagine a better team."Argenti's playful tone matched Electra's sentiment. "Or a better bunch of friends."Jingliu's voice was filled with warmth and conviction. "We really are lucky. And no matter what comes, we'll face it together."Alex raised an imaginary glass in a toast. "To Guardianix, and to facing the future together!"Blade smirked, his eyes twinkling with humor. "Just make sure not to trip on your way there, Alex."Laughter erupted around the table, the sound carrying through the courtyard and mingling with the morning air. The scene gradually faded out as they continued to enjoy their time together, their bonds of friendship and teamwork growing stronger with each shared moment.
