6:00am

I smiled widely as I saw my little girl in her crib looking at me as she wiggled excitedly with an adorable smile and I gently picked her up in my arms humming softly.

"Good morning sleeping beauty, I hope you slept well, " I said looking at her in my arms as I walked to the kitchen to get her bottle of milk ready. I carefully laid her down on a blanket in the living room and walked to the kitchen that was connected to it and grabbed her bottle from the fridge to warm up in the microwave.

I watched as she was on her back looking up at the ceiling making cute little noises until I heard the microwave beep. I quickly made sure it wasn't too hot and walked back to the living room and picked her up in my arms before sitting on the couch.

I smiled humming softly and rocked my body slowly side to side as she drank. "Thank you for being so patient with me Jinyoung. I know that I'm slow but I'm trying. You're always waiting for me to wake up every morning and waiting for me with grandma until I come home from work. You're always waiting for me to hold you after you've had a nap...I hope you can always wait on me until the time comes where I have to wait on you. Like when you go to school for the first time, get your first job, go on your first date. Whatever, I'll always be right here waiting for you...I'll never leave you...God, your mother would love you so much," I chuckled a bit as a tear fell from my left eye.

I put the now empty bottle on the coffee table and smiled as she looked at me with sleepy eyes and yawned cutely making my heart melt.

8:30am.

I must've fallen asleep with Jinyoung on the couch cause I woke up to my mother caressing my cheek softly to wake me up. "San, you gotta get ready for work dear," she said as I opened my eyes slowly and saw Jinyoung in her arms. I nodded slowly sitting up straight and stretched my arms while yawning and went to my room to fix my hair and grab my tie.

I said my goodbyes kissing both my mom's cheek and Jinyoung's head before grabbing my things and left.

I walked into the school hoping to get to classroom before getting seen by other teachers but unfortunately God isn't on my side.

"Good morning Mr. Choi," one of the teachers named Soyeon said smiling widely at me and I bowed greeting her. "Morning Miss Jeon," I said quickly attempting to pass her but she grabbed my hand softly. "Wait. Are you busy today after work?" She asked looking up at me with a flirtatious smile making me feel uncomfortable. I gently removed her hand off mine and backed up a bit. "No sorry, I have plans with my daughter today," I politely turned her down and she nodded sadly. "Maybe tomorrow then?" She asked with a hopeful smile and I chuckled awkwardly, "we'll see. " I said before quickly walking to my classroom.

I sighed sitting in my desk chair, already done with today. Everyday is like this. The constant flirting from teachers and stares from students it all makes me uncomfortable, but I can't just quit. I need this job, it pays well and I have to support my daughter and her future, so if that means I have to deal flirting and stares, then so be it.

I sighed looking at the wedding ring on my finger as I waited for my students. The ring meant nothing now that I was alone, but I kept it on to remember the love of my life, Hwang Yeji. God, she was perfect just like our little girl. I still remember meeting her in high school. We were assigned to be partners for a project and the second I saw her, I knew that she was my future wife. I was such a nervous wreck around her. But her laugh and smile made me so happy. I never wanted to be away from her. I asked her out a week after our project was due and we've been together ever since, until she unfortunately passed away.

One by one the students came in and took their seats. I called their names one by one making sure all were here and they were, except one...Jung Wooyoung.
