Julia’s POV-

"Joey! He killed me!" I whined. Joey chuckled from his spot on the floor between my legs. Both our laptops where open as Joey attempted to teach me how to play HungerCraft. Some douchebag had just killed me and now I was a ghost, left to simply float around and attempt to help Joey even though I really didn't want to. He had allowed the guy to kill me.

"What do you want me to do about that?" Joey questioned. I leaned around my computer and ruffled his perfectly sculpted hair, putting it into momentary disarray till he reached up and fixed it.

"That's what you get for not trying to save me!" I taunted. Looking up at me he stuck his tongue out at me before turning back to his game. My ghost self-floated around his character and I grumbled to myself when I saw him find a double chest.

"Don't mess with the hair gurl! That's a path you don't want to take. Oh! I just got two iron bars and a stick. Help me find a crafting table!" Joey exclaimed. I laughed before helping him. We played for another hour, neither of us winning any of the many times we played, before getting up and stretching our legs. I walked into the kitchen, grabbing a glass out of the cupboard and pouring myself a glass of ice water. I looked up slightly startled by Ingrid walking into the kitchen.

"Hey Julia! How was your day out today?" She asked. She raised her eyebrows at me a little. She had figured out about my major crush in Joey a week ago and she wouldn't leave me alone about it.

"Amazing. The movie was so good, and thanks for the help with the makeup!" I said excitedly. Ingrid, being the makeup guru she is, was always helping do my makeup for when I went out with Joey nowadays because what I did was never up to her standards and I wasn't about to argue about makeup with someone who makes a living talking about it. I smiled again but shook my head at her inquiring look. She wanted to know if anything had moved forward in the hunt to get Joey to realize I like him.

Sighing, I picked up my glass of ice water and made my way back into the living room and crashed onto the couch and flipped aimlessly through channels till I found a rerun of glee. This would work till Amazing Race came on. After a little bit Joey and Luke came barreling down the stairs, both had their vlogging cameras out and where chattering excitedly. I laughed and continued taking small sips of water as Ingrid came and joined my watching the boys make complete fools of themselves on camera. I jumped up from the couch when I heard the doorbell ring. Opening the door I smiled when I saw Meghan.

"Hey gurl! Here to join the party?" I asked happily. Meghan smiled at me.

“Yeah! I can’t wait for tonight’s episode! Who all is here?” I looked behind me and laughed as I saw Joey totally wipe out on the hardwood floors.

“Just Joey, Luke, Ingrid, me, and now you. I think that’s it, but knowing Joey there may be twenty more people coming also.” I giggled and let Meghan in. Ingrid said hi to her and they both made their way towards the kitchen to figure out what we were going to order for dinner. I was in favor of just pizza but I didn’t know what anyone else was thinking so I instead walked to my room and pulled out my guitar.

Playing random tunes that came to my head I listened to the chaos going on downstairs. After a little bit I heard the doorbell ring again and heard Kalel and Anthony’s voices coming from downstairs. Continuing to play I started to think of lyrics to go with the tune. Thinking of a couple good ones I quickly scribbled it down in barely legible handwriting in my notebook setting next to me.

“Hey you!” I jumped. Looking up I looked into Joey’s perfect green eyes.

“You scared me you psychopath!” I said, putting a hand over my heart to try and calm myself down. Joey laughed and sat down next to me while I fingered more cords. He watched in fascination and I willed myself not to blush.

Picking up my notebook, I scribbled down a couple more lyrics that fit and set it down to continue figuring out the chorus. Joey picked up the notebook and held away from his face at different distances. I giggled. I knew my handwriting was bad and it was adorable the way he was making it so dramatic how he couldn’t read it.

“How do you read your own handwriting?!” He asked. I sucked in a quick breath when he smiled his dazzlingly white smile at me.

“Sometimes I can’t, to be honest.” I smiled back. Looking back down at the guitar, I tried to hide the slight blush that was undeniably rising up my neck. How did this boy do this do me? He was just a guy right?

“Well, we just ordered pizza so I’m gonna go with Luke to go pick it up. You okay?” He said. I nodded. He seemed really fidgety like he was nervous about something but I blew it off as just his non-stop energy keeping him moving.

“Yeah, fine. You go get the pizza, just call me down when you get back. I have somethin’ really going here.” I smiled reassuringly. Joey just nodded and got up off my bed and towards the door.

“Luke! Ready to go?!” He yelled from the top of the stairs. Laughing to myself and shaking my head I continued playing and writing lyrics whenever they hit me.

Joey’s POV-

My chest tightened when she smiled at me and looked down. I couldn’t help but smile at that look of pure bliss in her eyes. I had to get out of there before I did something rash. Deciding that I needed to talk this over with Luke caused us to leave earlier than we needed.

“What’s up dude? We left like ten minutes early.” He argued, giving me a questioning look out of the corner of his eye.

“She drives me crazy!” I exclaimed, putting my face in my hands and groaning in frustration. I couldn’t tell if she like me or not and if I didn’t know I would end up going insane.

“What are you talking about? Is this all about Julia?” He asked. I gave him a ‘duh’ look earning a slow nod of recognition.

“What do you think, Luke? What do you think I should do?” I whined. Luke shrugged his shoulders slightly as he took a right turn into the pizza place. He parked and we sat in silence for a moment.

“If it was me, I think I would tell her. I know you’re not as outgoing in that department…but getting close like you did today and then running away is just going to confuse both you and her.” He offered. I groaned again, leaning my head against the back of the seat. When did liking someone get so complicated?
