Walker laid on his mattress, hair down from his pompadour and spread out on his red silk pillow. He took in a deep breath as he tried to calm his rapidly beating heart as a small giggle fit bubbled up in his chest. He was full of adrenaline and excitement. He managed to pull off something so heinous, all because the witnesses were a group of bullies that made not only his life, but everyone else's life a living hell.
Walker Darlington had gotten away with murder.
The rush of excitement, joy, and vengeance was still fresh and pumping through his tiny body, so much so that he would occasionally get shivers, which was strange because his body was hot enough to where he had to remove his black t-shirt. But he needed to calm down. If he kept walking around with a big creepy smile on his face, he would look strange. Staring at his ceiling, he tried some breathing exercises but that only did so much. He was still giggling to himself about how desperate those boys were when they went to the cops. The looks on their stupid faces made Walker happy.
They were scared. They were terrified of Walker Darlington.
And he liked it.
Walker sat up, his hair falling over his shoulders. His head panned over to his full body mirror and he hopped off of his bed. Padding over to his mirror he stared at his reflection. From his toes to his hips, all the way to his chest and finally to his eyes. The spirals in his eyes were faint, but they were still there. You could only see them if you really looked. Walker hummed to himself. 'No wonder people didn't question it,' he thought. 'They weren't really paying attention.' He made eye contact with himself as he looked over his body. Was he standing differently? He wasn't hunched over anymore and the pear shape of his body was more noticable. He winced at the thought of someone noticing and tilted his head like a confused puppy, scanning his own face. Something about him was different, but he couldn't figure out what it was. Deciding not to dwell on it, Walker straightened his head with a cheerful smile as he turned on heels and walked outside his room. Hands held behind his back, Walker's hips swayed as he hummed 'Enemy by Amalee'.
"Your words up on the wall as you're prayin' for my fall" he sang "And the laughter in the halls and the names that I've been called..."
He pushed his hair behind his ear as he entered the kitchen, stopping in front of his kitchen knife set.
"I stack 'em in my mind, and I'm waitin' for the time,"
He pulled out the biggest knife, examining it with his fingers. Careful not to cut himself, he ran his fingertips along the edge of the knife, wondering what it would be like to sink the cold blade into someone's body. Skin? Felt? It didn't matter. He wanted to know how it felt to plunge such a dangerous item into another living being. He didn't get to do that the last time, as he simply pushed Conner off a small cliff.
"When I show you what it's like to be words spit in a mic..."
Humming along, he set the knife onto his countertop as he leisurely made his way to his living room and turned on the tv. Throwing himself on his couch, he laid on his stomach as he watched a commercial for a new café. 'Maybe some fresh air will help me calm down. If the cops notice my change in behavior...'
He didn't allow himself to finish the thought, before he got up off the couch. Making his way into his bedroom, he put on a fresh t-shirt. It was his favorite striped shirt that he painted the "Set It Off" band logo onto. Julie had gifted him some fabric paint and aside from the apple on the back of his favorite hoodie, that was the first thing he ever painted. Going back into the kitchen, he eyed the kitchen knife.
