People betray me;
I will still smile.
The world may hurt me;
I will still smile.
Friendships could break;
I will still smile.
Family may be hurt;
I will still smile.
Trials come;
I will still smile.
Confusion wipes over me;
I will still smile.
Anxiety comes;
I will still smile.
I could cry;
But later on I can smile.
I may have anger;
But later on joy can come.
Though the world may seem to collapse with issues and hurt;
I will still smile.
I smile because I know that trials happen for a reason.
I know that joy can come out of sadness.
I know that though I will be hurt in life, I can know that there is purpose in trials and my faith to make me stronger.
So this is why I smile.
I'm thankful for blessings in life, and I know blessings can come out of tough times.
So though the world may be confusing, scary, and hurt,
I still smile.
