Travis woke up groggy the next morning. He sat up and rubbed his eyes, yawning.
"Morning bubba." Lacy cooed, walking over to the bassinet. She ruffled Travis's hair and went to owen's nursery to check on the younger baby.
"Alright tiger, let's get started on breakfast." Bryan said, picking Travis up and carrying him downstairs. He placed a hand on his diaper and mused to himself quietly.
"Dry as a bone." He said, shrugging it off. Travis was relieved that he wouldn't need a change until later, but kept quiet.
Bryan sat Travis in his high chair and went to grab a book of pancake mix.
"Want blueberries or chocolate chips?" Bryan asked. Travis perked up at the mention of chocolate chips, and Bryan smiled. He made the batter and began to cook, just in time for Owen and lacy to join.
Owen was grumpy and teary eyed, quietly fussing as lacy shushed him, pacing gently with him.
"What's the matter with Owie?" Bryan cooed, looking at lacy.
"He had a scary dream, and now he's being clingy with his mama." Lacy replied, kissing owens forehead.
"Poor baby." Bryan said, continuing to cook. Lacy went to sit on the couch, holding owen close.
After breakfast was made, Bryan put a baby plate on Travis tray, pancake already cut up with butter.
"Thank you papa." Travis said. Bryan stood in front of Travis to feed him.
Lacy made Owen a bottle, bringing him back to the living room to feed him. The small boy finally calmed down and was drinking his bottle, snuggled close to lacy.
Travis sat in his playpen, quietly stacking blocks, and owen was in his swing while lacy folded laundry, and Bryan got a bit of work done.
Travis felt his bladder throb and whimpered, unable to hold it in. Lacy looked over at him, humming.
"Did you use your diaper, kiddo?" She cooed, walking over to the playpen.
Travis stayed still as his cheeks flushed. He didn't nod, though it was obvious he had gone to the bathroom.
Bryan walked over and picked Travis up, and the boy began to squirm.
"Calm down, tiger. We'll get you changed and then come back to play." Bryan said, carrying Travis up to his room. He laid Travis down on the floor, and the boy shot up.
"No, stay here." Bryan said, placing Travis back down again.
Travis pouted, letting out an angry growl. Bryan chuckled as he removed his onesie.
"Oh yes, you're very scary, Travis. Would you like papa to change you, or do you want to wait?" Bryan said, still chuckling at the boy.
Travis didn't respond as he rolled to the side, getting onto his feet and ran down the hall.
Bryan ran after him, catching him quickly.
Travis broke down crying as Bryan scooped him up, pinning him against his chest.
"What has gotten into you, Travis? You were doing better, and now you're all sorts of naughty." Bryan scolded. He laid Travis down on the floor and changed him quickly, with Travis crying the whole time. When he was done, he placed Travis in his bassinet and looked at him.
"You're going to stay here until you can behave. When I come to check on you, I would like my baby boy back, okay?" Bryan said.
Travis curled up on his side, dressed in only a clean diaper and soft socks. Bryan left the room and shut the door behind him.
Travis cried behind his pacifier. He shut his eyes, sleepy all of a sudden.
An hour later, Bryan returned to the master suite, scooping Travis into his arms and kissing the top of his head.
"Okay kiddo, are you ready to talk to papa about your attitude?" Bryan said, sitting in the rocking chair with Travis. He pulled the pacifier out of the boys mouth, waiting for an answer.
"Grumpy." Was all Travis could say. He didn't want to get changed.
"I know you get fussy at times, but you need to let me do my job. Mama and I are here to take care of you and your little bubba. Since you've been uncooperative, you'll just hang out downstairs where I can keep an eye on you, and you'll go to bed early tonight." Bryan said.
Travis huffed, and Bryan popped his pacifier back in his mouth. "Let's go get a snack for you." Bryan said, taking Travis to the kitchen.
He made Travis a cup of yogurt and strawberries, but Travis didn't bother trying to feed himself. Bryan picked up the spoon, holding it up to Travis's lips.
Travis shook his head, clamping his mouth shut.
"Travis, I'm trying to help you. Would you like to try again, or do you need a time out?" Bryan asked.
Lacy walked in, standing next to Bryan.
"Here babe, let me try." She said, gently grabbing the spoon. Bryan left the kitchen and went to the living room, putting on a football game.
"Open up for mama, baby." Lacy cooed, holding the spoon up. Travis opened his mouth, accepting the yogurt.
"Good job, little one." Lacy said, smiling. She fed Travis another bite, and continued until the bowl was empty.
Bryan walked back into the kitchen, pouring a cup of coffee.
"Don't be upset with him, Bryan. You know that babies get fussy sometimes." Lacy said, rubbing his arm.
"I know. I just prefer my little ones to not be mad at me." Bryan replied, picking up Travis. He carried him to the living room, sitting him in his swing.
Travis laid back as the swing rocked gently, sucking on his pacifier.
