5. The Demons Playhouse

Annabeth and Naia walked into the store and walk around to see what kind of food there was. It had been years since they were outside of camp and Naia loved and hated it. The last time she was in the real world, she lost her dad. But it was nice to see other things than just the cabins.

Annabeth and Naia split up while Annabeth was getting candy, Naia was getting drinks. Nailea looked at the big section with wide eyes. She simply got the first thing she saw and walked away, finding Annabeth staring at the candy options. Naia stood next to Annabeth wide her eyes wide as they looked at each other.

As Annabeth grabbed the snacks, they walked up to the counter to pay. When they were paying, Naia had felt a shiver that went up her spine. She turned around to see a woman, only it wasn't a woman, it was a Fury. Annabeth seemed to notice as they quickly made her way out of the store.

As Naia and Annabeth made their way onto the bus, Annabeth placed her cap on as Naia walked over to the boys who were talking. The boys saw Naia at the edge of her seat with her leg bouncing.

Percy seemed to mimic what she was doing, "Whatcha doing?"

Naia looked up at Percy to push him in his seat to stop his joking. Naia saw Annabeth walking back with urgency. Her eyes went wide and told the boys, "Hey, we gotta go. Now!"

Annabeth and Naia turned their attention to the Fury that was making her way towards us.

"I don't think these windows are supposed to... Oh, no!" Grover and Percy quickly got out of the seats trying to break the window. When they did, everyone was leaving the bus and Naia and Annabeth kept death staring the Fury.

"Naia, Annabeth. Let's go!" Percy callled out to the two desperately. Naia and Annabeth then heard a shriek coming from outside the bus. Another Fury flew in through the broken window about to attack the boys when Naia activated her bow and Annabeth took out her dagger.

"Hey!" They called at the same time, hitting the Fury in the chest and forehead, making it disappear. Naia md Annabeth ran to the window as Annabeth made her way out, "We're done here. Let's go."

Naia and Percy simply kept watching Alecto before Percy grabbed her arm, dragging her to the window. She jumped out of it, watching as Percy did the same seconds later. On the road, I guess.

Grover led the group into the woods where it was quite peaceful. Naia looked around at the beautiful surroundings full of life. She reached up to touch the leaves of a tree and Percy just watched from a far.

"Somewhere up ahead, this turns into a saytr path. Grover spoke, making the two teens direct their attention to him.

Percy wondered out loud, "What's a saytr path?"

"It's a road through the wilderness. Saytr explorers use them. Harder to track us." Grover explained.

"That's great, but if we stay in the wilderness, how are we gonna find a phone?" This caught Annabeth's attention.

She turned around to look at the boys with Naia next to her, "What do we need a phone for?"

"So we can call camp. To get help." Percy stated almost obviously.

Annabeth shrugged, continued walking, "We don't need help. We're fine."

Percy scoffed, "We're fine? We haven't even gotten to Trenton and we're wandering through a forest. I didn't even know they had forests in New Jersey, but we've found one. I would say we're the opposite of fine."
