Daniel Elkins. Why do I know that name? Meredith thought to herself as she walked across the tiled floor of the diner she and her brothers had stopped in. Not terribly hungry, she had ordered a cup of coffee, then took a bathroom break. A yawn escaped from her mouth, which she covered with the back of her hand, and she sat down next to her twin.

Daniel Elkins was a name Meredith had read in one of the newspapers they had. They were looking for something to hunt. The name was familiar, like she had read it before, but didn't know where.

She picked up her mug of coffee and brought it to her lips to take a drink.

"Well guys." Dean said, closing the newspaper he held in his hands. "Not a decent lead in all of Nebraska. What've you got, Sam?"

Not looking away from the screen of the laptop, Sam answered the question. "Well, I've been scanning Wyoming, Colorado, South Dakota. Here : A woman in Iowa fell 10,000 feet from an airplane and survived."

"That sounds less like Twilight Zone and more like That's Incredible." Meredith sighed, placing her chin on the palms of her hands while she skimmed through the newspaper before her once again.

Sam sighed.

"Hey, you know we-uh-we could just keep heading east." Dean smiled at his sister. "New York. Downstate. We could stop by and see Sarah again. Huh? She's a cool chick, Mer, smokin'." A whistle blew from in between his lips. "You two seemed pretty friendly. What d'you say?"

With rosy cheeks and a soft smile, Meredith rolled her eyes. The two still texted here and there, just small conversation. While she was rather fond of Sarah, Meredith felt like it'd be a bad idea to go back so soon. "Maybe someday." Meredith dropped her smile. "We've got a lot of work to do, Dee. You know that."

"Yeah, you're right." The older brother grumbled in disappointment. "You got anything?"

Meredith lifted up the newspaper and leaned back in her seat. "A man in Colorado, Daniel Elkins. He was found mailed in his home. At first they thought it was a bear attack until they found signs of a robbery..." the woman trailed off from telling them the finding. "Daniel Elkins - do either of you know why that name sounds so familiar?"

"Doesn't ring a bell." Sam said, though Dean appeared to have a different answer.

Dean furrowed his eyebrows in thought. "I know that name. Elkins... Elkins... Elkins..." he muttered while setting their dad's journal onto the table and flipping it open. After a few seconds, Dean turned the journal around on the table and pushed it to the twins. "There, check it out." He placed his fingers on the writing that read :

D Elkins 970-555-0158

Sam flicked his eyes upwards at Dean. "You think it's the same Elkins?"
