Chapter 7: Putting An End To All The Madness

Aurora had wished her brothers hadn't walked in on a moment as intimate as that. She wanted that kiss so badly. But of course her annoying older siblings had to ruin her dreams. However, Bowser was more infuriated than anyone had ever seen him. Smoke coming out of his nose in anger, he was ready to give Aurora's brothers an extremely difficult time. He didn't want them to steal his queen away from him.

"Bowser on any other day, if you were just stealing the princessa, things would be different but today you crossed a line! Stealing our little sister and forcing her to fall in love with you! THAT IS MONSTROUS!" Mario screams.

Luigi, however, stays silent, he had a slight hunch that Aurora wanted this, and her silence and sadness was all the answer he needed. If there was one thing Mario never understood is how Aurora felt. But Luigi knew, he knew Aurora had felt left out for a while now.

"Ok Mario." Bowser chuckles angrily. "YOU WANNA FIGHT, I'LL GIVE IT TO YOU!"

Like Aurora once did, her brothers prepared for a fight against the "tyrannical king" except she knew he didn't want to do this. He didn't want to lose the one person who made him special. He didn't want to lose Aurora. Bowser had a reason to actually fight.

In this moment, Aurora had had enough, it was now or never she put her foot down. For the safety of everyone she loved.

"Wow jumping into a fight without even asking if I wanna be rescued." Aurora says sarcastically while clapping. "Congratulations Mario you've hit a new low."

"You know why the enemies were so much harder for you to fight, you know why I didn't want Peach to say a word, you know why I didn't tell you I was leaving! Because I knew all you would try to do is stop me! I NOW THOUGHT I COULD BE HAPPY! BUT YET YOU WANNA TAKE MY HAPPINESS FROM ME ONCE AGAIN! I WAS ENJOYING MY EVENING, I ENJOYED THE MEAL AND TALKING TO BOWSER, HELL I EVEN UNDERSTOOD HOW HE FELT! BECAUSE YOU TREATED HIM THE SAME WAY YOU DID ME!" Aurora screams furiously.

"Aurora I-" Mario pauses.

"YOU NEVER ONCE CONSIDERED HOW I FELT! I WAS ABOUT TO EXPERIENCE MY FIRST KISS AND YOU RUINED IT!" Aurora, who was going through all the emotions, was now reduced to tears.

Aurora was crying tears of pain, sadness, and anger. Her fists clenched, once again she was crying in a beautiful dress because of her brothers. She flashes back to her prom night, where her brothers ruined her night because they thought her date was going to stand her up. She cried the whole night, her prom ruined, she had never talked to any of her friends from school since. She was even considering texting them in the last twenty four hours.

Bowser turned to Aurora, choosing to comfort her instead of fighting. He didn't want to lose her because of her brothers. He'd give up the whole world for her, is this what love really was... Making sacrifices for those you love.

Luigi wasn't surprised at all that Aurora went off on them, in his opinion they deserved it. And he knew that was Aurora because of that tone in her voice sounded just like their mother's. Luigi felt really guilty, he never once realized how she felt. Mario however, wasn't buying it; he was so sure Aurora was being controlled, his ego getting more and more in his way, clouding up his vision.

"Aurora, you're being controlled, but we can take you back home." Mario tries to reason.

Bowser wasn't gonna let Aurora go, and Aurora wasn't going to let him go. They were so close, engulfed in each other's warm embrace. Mario was losing it, so he went for Bowser's head and landed a hit. Smoke came out of his nose in anger, until Aurora.

"He's not worth your effort..." Aurora breathes. "He only wants you to fulfill his ego."

"Mario, maybe you should stop, Aurora seems fine with all of this." Luigi tries to reason with his brother. "Aurora is 26 after all, she's not a baby anymore, and she's been here for a while and hasn't said anything..."

Aurora had had enough, it was time for her to take the stage, she was gonna make it clear to Mario. She grabbed a fire flower from one of the boys' bags when they weren't looking and had every intention of being the one to put her brother in his place.

"It's time to become the flame..." Aurora mumbles pushing Bowser to the side. She activates the flower. "So tell me the truth, Mario. Would I hurt you if I was being controlled? This question determines my next move." Aurora speaks up.

"No Aurora you wouldn't, you would only hurt me if you were being controlled..." Mario finally admits.

"Good to see you can come to your senses." says Aurora deactivating the flame.

"B-But what, so you've been willingly in love w-with..." Mario pauses and gasps.

"And I suppose you Luigi, knew the whole time!" Aurora beams.

"You wouldn't be wrong on that one..." He nervously laughs.

"But why..? Why didn't you tell us..?" Mario asks, confused.

"You forget your least favorite person is here and can gladly explain what exactly has been going on the last twenty four hours." Aurora giggles.

"You really... you." Bowser scowls at her.

"You know you can't stay mad at me for too long." she flirts while putting her finger to his chin and lifting it.

"Well you see, originally I offered her a deal, to switch places with Peach. Since she complied I gave her the nicer room I originally made for Peach. Then at dinner, she got curious about me and the other way around. Little did I know, Aurora and I were falling for each other. Because of you two idiots... so I guess I have to thank you." Bowser chuckles.

"Thank us...?" Mario wonders, confused. "But you hated me and my brother, why thank us."

"Because you two are now the reason I'm happy and why Aurora is with me." Bowser thanks.

"This has now taken the cake for awkward interactions.." Mario says.

They all erupt in laughter, to think all of this happened due to a misunderstanding. And maybe just because originally hatred was shared between all of them. But now everyone was happier, Mario because he didn't have to deal with any more Peach kidnappings, Luigi because his younger sister was finally happy, Aurora because she had found someone to spend the rest of her life with, and Bowser because he finally understand what love means.

"Why don't you join us for cake?" Bowser asks.

"THERE WAS CAKE?!" Aurora exclaims confused.

"Yeah for after I beat up your brothers- Guess it serves another purpose now." Bowser says.

The brothers leave the castle, leaving Aurora behind. This is what she wanted, and her brothers let her have it. She realized they did love her, because they respected her decision.

"So why don't we start planning the wedding?" Bowser asks jokingly.

"WHAT?!" Squeals a flustered Aurora.

"I was kidding, HAHAHAHAHA, YOU SHOULD SEE YOUR FACE!!!" Bowser laughs.

"Come on, let's go inside, everyone is probably gonna need some context." Aurora sighs happily.

"Yeah definitely!" Bowser laughs again.

And with that, the new lovebirds walk into the palace to explain what exactly happened. They also decided to announce they would be declaring peace with the Mario Bros. A toast began by everyone in the castle, to the two lovebirds, peace, and a new prosperous age. As the glasses touch so does Bowser and Aurora's lips.

Both of them enjoyed that kiss, it was warm, and felt like it could never end. Bowser's lips felt scaly yet toasty and kept her in, while for Bowser, Aurora's lips were soft and tasted like cherries. When they pulled apart three words escaped their mouths.

"I love you..." they said to the other in unison.
