Minho ended up leaving Seungmin alone in the front of Chan's house. The latter pleaded with him to stay, to show him that Chan wasn't upset with him at all. To show that Chan still cared for him. But being the stubborn person he is, Minho shook his head and left.A click of a doorknob startled Seungmin, but quickly relaxed when he saw Hyunjin's nose poking out of the door. "What the hell are you doing here?" He furrowed his eyebrows as a hand shoved the door open into the poor ferret's nose.
"Ow!" Hyunjin clutched his face, as he knelt on the floor. "My beautiful nose!"
A roll came from the other passing the hurt, before curiosity sparked. "How'd you get here before us?" Seungmin occupied himself with taking off his jacket and hanging it on the already overfilled coat rack.
"May have went over the speed limit more than I should have." He looked away. "Not even going to apologize?" Hyunjin huffed slowly, shutting the door behind the two, letting go of his nose. The pain had partially subsided.
"You really expect me to? After kicking me and Minho out? I would say it's your fault having let Minho in after hours allowing him to roam around doing whatever he pleases, in the first place." Now Seungmin laid flat on a couch next to the entryway.
The latters eyes widened, seemingly recalling something. Thick lips parted wanting to let out thoughts, shouts, but stopped and instead a pair of eyes found themselves entertained with the tiling of Chan's house.
Regretting what he said, already unable to take the words back, Seungmin turned on his side, patting an empty spot. "C'mere." He sighed.
Still angry, Hyunjin couldn't stop himself from making his way over and melting like putty next to Seungmin, throwing his arms over his neck and burying his face in the crook of the latters neck. "I can't do that." Hyunjin breathed, shutting his eyes tightly.
Seungmin adjusted his hand so it could be placed on long soft dark hair. "We all know it's been hard," he started, "especially on Minho but.. even if we gave him.."
"The world?" words were mumbled on his neck.
"Ah.. that's a bit of a stretch but sure, the world, he still wouldn't go back to the way he was before." He paused.
Seungmin knew that Hyunjin was always close with Jisung. Hyunjin was there for him when it seemed like no one else was. The thing that had Hyunjin off guard earlier came back. Every time Jisung would talk about Minho he would always repeat one of two sentences: "He's fragile.." or "He's sensitive."
Hyunjin made a note of that in his mind, which may be why he lets Minho do whatever he wants, when he wants.
Because he doesn't want to hurt him.
Even now, even though Hyunjin knows damn well that Minho isn't the same, won't get hurt by such words he still can't bring himself to be firm with him.
Seungmin held Hyunjin closer, neither of them were gonna cry, no tears pricked at their eyes, but needles did poke at their throats, many unsaid emotions ran through the two.
They could feel it.
Whenever this happened they sought comfort in each other.
On sleepless nights usually Hyunjin drove over to Seung's and Minho's place to sleep with Seungmin. Sometimes they would cuddle, sometimes they didn't and only held hands facing each other, sometimes they knew they wouldn't be able to sleep that night and simply watched a movie huddled up in the sheets, worries put to rest knowing they weren't alone, knowing they had each other to lean on.
As much as he didn't wanna ever move, didn't wanna be away from the warm embrace that held him gently and comfortingly, they needed to get to Chan's room before someone found them.
