War POV:
"They called from the rehab. You were sleeping so peacefully that I didn't have the heart to wake you up.
They didn't tell me what's wrong. I hope I'll be back before our dinner date.
Love you"
I took a quick shower and put on some clothes. I didn't even check my phone during the time I was getting ready.
When I did, I realized Yin didn't call or send a text. My heart thumped with worry.
Either something really bad was happening or... Yin was back in his old ways.
Right after we had sex, if I might add.
My door began to knock in a harsh way.
Did I own money to some mobster? No, right?
"Bestie! Are you okay?"
I hurriedly ran to the door and then I saw Saint's worried face.
"I am. Why?"
"Yin called me. He said that he cannot reach you. I tried too. Your phone is off."
"What?"
I checked my phone and... yeap. Only one bar.
"I should change my phone."
"You should or maybe your operator. Come on let's go."
"You are coming with me?"
"Well yeah! You'll be beside Yin and I'll be there if you need anything at the hospital."
"Hospital?"
...
Turns out... Prom was quite depressed.
He didn't swallow his pills, collected them and... tried to kill himself this morning by consuming them all.
I really didn't understand how can a person who is surrounded by mental health professionals could do this.
Neglect?
Thankfully, he was saved. They managed to do that. Prom did most of the work by throwing up too.
"War, we are here."
I rushed to the front door and tried to find Yin like a mad man in the emergency room.
And he was there...
Once again, in a horrible state.
"War?"
When he saw me, he got up and ran to me. We hugged each other tight.
"I couldn't reach you."
"I am so sorry. How is he?"
"He... uhm. He is okay. They reacted fast, he doesn't have a problem right now. He will be discharged from the emergency room today. But uhm..."
"But... what?"
"They will move him to the psychiatric ward."
"Oh."
"The doctor talked to me and she is afraid of this happening again."
"Oh."
"I... feel-"
He stopped. I pulled him into a hug one more time.
"What about the rehab and his parole?"
"I don't know. I've been talking to his lawyer. They can maybe move him to a ward that has some sort of security."
