Sakura POV
This is it...I give up! I cannot stand my mother praising an egoistic jerk like that! So what if he is academically good? Or great at calculations... Doesn't change the fact that he lacks basic manners and besides can't even ask for help from a stranger. He probably doesn't know this... But i noticed him when he couldn't ask for the pen he gave to that guy sitting in front of him back for himself. He seemed nervous weirdly. That was so pathetic... I wonder what makes him react like that all the time? Maybe he is just scared... Wait a minute...why am I worrying about him? what's wrong with me? Anyways...I should get back to my chores. He is just a waste of my time anyways...
{The next day at school...}
Sakura and Haruki were silently sitting together ignoring each other as much as they could. Suddenly, Sakura notices a new girl entering the classroom. She didn't get to see her on the first day probably because she wasn't present that day. And as she enters everyone's gaze shift to her. It's seemingly a grand entry. She had long blonde hair and a fit physics. Eyes were blue and her appearance resembled a top grade model.

HANABI (SECOND FEMALE LEAD)
But Sakura could see the expression of the girl quite clearly. It was evident that she wasn't fazed even an inch by the attention that was poured on to her. She simply walked towards the nearest empty bench and sat on it minding her own buisness.
Sakura found her to be quite ravishing too. Not because of her outstanding beauty rather her Unfazed altitude despite recieving so much public attention.
But then her gaze accidentally turned to Haruki and immediately she could sense the desperation for this girl in his eyes.
He kept on staring at her whilst also getting nervous simultaneously.
He seemed a little uneasy almost.
Yet, throughout the classes and including recess he kept on making glances at the girl in every 5-6 seconds. She didn't even look in his general direction. And it seemed as if he was also attempting not to look at her at this frequency. But his attempts failed miserably.
Sakura could sense the strange nuance in the behaviour in her new found nemesis right away.
In the recess she gets out of her way to investigate about this girl. She finds that her name is Hanabi. She is very popular because of her looks. She has been in this school since primary classes Yet, somehow doesn't have any close friendships exept the previous mentor of the drama club despite the fact that a ton of people attempt to befriend her on a regular basis. And that before Sakura's arrival to this school, She was the assorted bench partner for Haruki this year initially.
Coincidentally, The day Sakura arrived; she was absent from classes and thus her place was replaced with that if Sakura.
And suddenly, Everything started to make sense to Sakura. As if the realisation struck her as a lightning bolt. The reason of Haruki's strange reaction to her sitting beside him. Him not liking her presence despite of of being strangers and not even having any past of animosity. His being annoyed at her for no reason and even being rude at times.
For Haruki, Sakura was the sole reason on why Hanabi won't be sitting with him for the next 7 months and instead he will have to sit with her. Him being the introverted and virtually closed of individual he is; Sakura's arrival just killed even tiniest hope of him ever talking to Hanabi let alone making a move on her. It was comprehensible on why he hated her so much. He must have been in love with her since the day they met despite the fact that she never even noticed him let alone have any interest as this is the way she seems to be.
"That's it...that is it!...it has to be this way otherwise there's no reason why someone would be such a jerk to her like that" Sakura thinks to herself
"I just have to verify it from him for once now.
And if this truely is the real deal, then I have a plan!
