Alice pov

The next morning when i woke up i realized that i slept all through the day.... i love sleeping a lot and this is my second love if i must tell you. now i need a hot shower to shed my left over sleep.

I turned off the hot water and stepped out of shower. Today i have to clean up my room first than after filling my stomach i have visit the university to inquire about the scholarship.

After finishing up with my room i went down with a new mission to fill my stomach lions , i made my way to the kitchen that's when i heard my aunt and uncle talking with their door ajar . curiosity took over me and without really thinking, i slowly went up to there door. the voices were louder now and more clearer. with caution, i strained my ear so i could listen in.

"you know we can't afford Dr. Hans treatment for now with all the bills and Alice's college fees, even if she has applied for that scholarship which is 50% we still need more funds for them" uncle said."

"ohh coommee on Tom we have to do it, we can apply for personal loan for now. you know what we were getting into by bringing them. you can't say that now. they both depend on us now and we have to do everything in our power to make this life easy for them after all they have been through" she replied as if it wasn't a big deal. it really was for us.

I kinda feel bad for becoming so much of a burden on them. but i really want to start with Evan's sessions and Dr. Hans is known for his incredible work.

"I know what you mean sweetheart and i also will do everything in my power. they are my children too. but for now i think loan is not an option and after this college admission , his sessions will be my next priority" Tom said with a heavy heart . i can feel he wants to do everything for us.

i turned around to leave, the wooden floor creaked and i quickly ran to my room and closed my door behind me. i turned around and pressed my back to the door. after catching my breath.we have involved both of them with us in this shit. why can't this life be a little simple for once. through the window i can see the beautiful sky with the ever shining sun which filled my room with full light.

i wasn't sure how much time had pass but it seems that moments later when my room door had creaked open. Evan stepped out and was peeking in. i asked him him to come and than i was just lying there on my bed and scooted over to make room for him to lie down . its been a routine for us. just lying down there and do our own thinking. he propped his hands under his head. and was looking at the ceiling."

"are you okay?" i asked , obviously knowing he wasn't. his hair was messy and there were some dark circles under his eyes. he nodded his head for my sake and gave me a sad smile.

"you know naa everything will eventually fall in place very soon. i have a feeling things are going to get better from here on. we'll start your sessions soon and i will hear my lil brother's voice soon" he closed his eyes, his thick lashes cast shadows on his skin.

slowly, his features began to rest and i was convinced that this is definitely a better start. i can see hope in his eyes. i knew that what he looked like on the outside was nothing compared to what he was going through in his mind.. will he ever lead a normal life again.

his eyes fluttered open and he stood up again and took my hand in his and stated to drag me up too. i knew he was hungry.. hell even i damm hungry so why not. together we both made our way to the kitchen table for some much needed breakfast. i can see my aunt stirring something in a pan. Clair can do anything but cooking was not her forte. she smiled warmly at me as if there was no problem at all. she really was brave.
