"Mom, why do me and Dad have the same name?" My 3-year-old son asked.
"It's because you are named after him, baby," I explained as I bent down and squeezed his cheeks.
"Really? Was Dad a nice guy? Or was he a bad guy, Mom?" he asked.
I was stunned by his question, left speechless wondering how a 3-year-old thought about those things. But soon regained my composure and tried to answer in the best way I could.
"There's no such thing as bad people, baby. We are all just individuals who sometimes do bad things. And did you know, your dad wanted to reach the stars? Today was the day when he became one of them..."
