Third's person's pov
At around 10:30 PM Badri and his two son-in-laws reached home. As it was very late, Dheeksha and her family went to their house immediately. Badri and his wife also left for the other room leaving Surya all by himself. So, he locked the main door and knocked on the bedroom door announcing that he is outside.. as usual no reply. Thinking that she will be sleeping, he slowly opened the door. The chillness of the AC was inviting him to sleep in the same room.. He brushed off the thought and went for a bath after taking the essentials.
After the bath, he went in to take the bedding, ignoring the AC and came out to sleep in the hall. And that's how the day ended for him.
Next day morning 6:30
Surya woke up as usual and went for a run and Sowriya was still sleeping. But she was up and freshened up by the time he returned. After Breakfast, everyone left for the hall as it will take around 2 hours to reach there. It was not like Suriya's family.. all the work has to be done only by Badri and a little help from Dheeksha's husband. Rama managed inviting guests as much as she can. So as soon as Surya's family arrived, they took over and helped them. Badri was feeling very satisfied and happy by their kindness.
Surya was not allowed to help anymore and was taken to the men's parlor even though he refused. But he only got a good haircut and trimmed his beard a little. Meanwhile, Sowriya was fighting with her sister, cousin and Pinni to stop dolling her up. She liked being natural just with a little of lip balm, eyebrows filled, eyeliner and some powder for sweat along with the jewels and saree that her parents gave her and everyone except her parents seems to oppose that.. but why? What's wrong with that? Her only answer to all their questions was: "Was my amma or your amma wearing makeup in their reception? no right? So, if you don't want to help, please leave!!"
Which kind of hurt her pinni and cousin.. so, they stopped bugging her but it did not affect Dheeksha in any way(she is used to this) and she continued her war with her sister. Victoriously, Sowriya felt very beautiful with the final look as it was just the way she wanted it.
It was time to go up on stage and Sowriya's fears started to flicker in the bottom of her heart. She and stages have a very bad relationship and being a center of attention was something she hated to the core. Before going outside, she peeked out to estimate the crowd that she will have to face and it didn't help her one bit. Everyone from Surya's family were also waiting to see the bride. They wanted a surprise and did not go in to visit her during the "getting ready" session.
Surya's pov
Just one day!! Just one and I will be free.. was the only line I was repeating in my head for a long time now while sitting in the saloon getting my hair cut. For God's sake, I am not interested in this whole wedding thing and I don't even know why everyone thinks I wanted to groom myself for this stupid Reception. The main reason I am here today is because of Badri uncle.. He would have paid a lot for all this and I don't want to burden him with unhappy costs. My family would have understood if I did not want to do this.. Even Badri uncle would not pressure me but he will be broken..
