Flashback...
Chaeyoung sat tensely in her grandfather's study, the air heavy with unspoken words. In-hwa stood by the window, his back to her, staring out into the garden. After what felt like an eternity, he finally turned to face her, his expression stern.
In-hwa: "Katarina, do you know why I've called you in here?"
Chaeyoung: (nervously) "I can guess. It's about the plans to separate from the Parks, isn't it?"
In-hwa: (nodding) "Yes, I've been informed. What were you thinking, going behind my back like this?"
Chaeyoung: (gathering her courage) "Grandfather, we just want to have some independence. Being a Park have too much control over our lives, and we want to change that."
In-hwa: (voice rising) "Change that? Do you understand the consequences of what you're doing? This isn't just about your independence. It's about the family's future and reputation."
Chaeyoung: "But it's our future too. We should have a say in it."
In-hwa: (stepping closer, eyes hard) "I will be the one to decide who you marry, not you. If you and your parents don't stop this nonsense, I will make sure you lose custody of Minyoung."
Chaeyoung: (gasping) "You can't do that! Minyoung is my daughter. She needs me."
In-hwa: (coldly) "And I will ensure she is raised properly, with the stability and influence I'll provide. You will comply, or you will lose her."
Chaeyoung: (tears in her eyes) "Grandfather, please. I just want what's best for her. She deserves a life where she's loved and free."
In-hwa: (softening slightly) "I am doing this for your own good, Katarina. You don't understand the intricacies of these alliances. We Parks are powerful and right allies support is crucial."
Chaeyoung: (desperation in her voice) "But at what cost? My happiness? My freedom? Minyoung's well-being?"
In-hwa: (firmly) "Enough. This discussion is over. You will stop this foolishness immediately, or face the consequences."
Chaeyoung: (defeated) "Grandfather... please reconsider."
In-hwa: (turning away) "There is nothing more to discuss. Make your decision, Katarina Park. Choose wisely."
Chaeyoung stood there, feeling the weight of her grandfather's ultimatum crushing her spirit. She had to find a way to protect Minyoung, but the path forward seemed more daunting than ever. As she left the study, she vowed silently to herself that she would find a way to stand up to her grandfather and secure a better future for her and her daughter, no matter the obstacles.

Chaeyoung sat in the garden, staring blankly at the koi pond, lost in the turmoil of her thoughts. She barely noticed when her grandmother, Yuko, approached and sat beside her, the older woman's presence bringing a calming influence.Yuko: (gently) "Chaeyoung, dear, what's bothering you?"
Chaeyoung: (sighing) "It's Grandfather. He found out about our plans to separate from the Parks. He told me that if we don't stop, he'll take Minyoung away from me. He said he will decide who I marry."
Yuko: (a bit surprised) "I see. It's very brave of you to make your own decisions, Chaeyoung. I know it's not easy standing up to him."
Yuko reached out and gently patted Chaeyoung's head, a comforting gesture that made Chaeyoung feel slightly better.
Yuko: "Don't worry too much. I'll help you talk to him. In-hwa can be stubborn, but he listens to me more than anyone else. We'll find a way."
Chaeyoung: (relieved) "Thank you, Grandma. I was really scared."
