THE SOFT pitter patter of the rain dropping onto the ground did not help the [h/c]-haired girl get out of bed. instead, it only made her go deeper into the blankets to seek more warmth.
a sigh escaped her lips as she heard her alarm sound.
'how annoying.' the girl thinks to herself as she slowly but surely attempts to at least sit up on the side of her bed. she smiles slightly to herself in triumph once she is successful, and turns off her alarm, but just slumps back down afterwards.
through blurry, half lidded eyes, her [e/c]-colored eyes (sorry to use it twice in one sentence, but i refuse to use the word 'orbs') slid over to her nightstand, where her clock sat. she tried to make out the numbers, but failed.
'9:43..? no, 8:58..? oh, 2:23.'
she grins in fake triumph as she miserably fails to read her clock. she attempts, once again, to sit up on the edge of her bed. this time, she doesn't lay back down. she brings her [s/t] hands to her eyes, rubbing them gently in hopes of granting her clearer sight. (if you have glasses: she sighs and shakes her head, as it fails just like every morning before. she reached for her glasses and slid them on.) she smiles softly as everything became clear.
'oh. it said 8:39.' she thinks with a sigh as her face drops to a dead pan expression.
(this is me every morning)
she begrudgingly slid out of bed to go to the kitchen, after putting on some clothes and looking as decent as she could. the girl made herself a simple breakfast and nearly jumped as she finally realized the time.
'shit! i need to be at school in like 5 minutes! i can't be late on my first day!!'
she glanced hurriedly between her breakfast and the door, groaning and grabbing her bag, rushing out the door.
~~~
panting, sweating, and hair practically ruined, she finally arrived at school, one minute until the gates opened.
she trudged over to a less crowded area, and just stood there to catch her breath. her [e/c]-colored eyes scanned the landscape around her as she patted down her hair so it looked at least a little more decent.
wiping the sweat off her forehead with her sleeve, she noticed someone.
they looked..
'pretty..' the young girl thinks to herself, a small grin creeping on her lips.
the person, was indeed, pretty at least a little. they had dull, turquoise eyes that seemed so dead. their hair was long, luscious, and black with teal tips at around 1/8th of the end of the hair, which cascaded down their shoulders.
their expression was one of nonchalance (nonchalant dreadhead shake yo dreadsss). they seemed quite done with life and very unamused. it looks like they had just witnessed someone doing something extremely stupid, then defending themselves with more stupid excuses. in public. (this paragraph is so unhinged)
anyways, just as she was about to approach him, she heard the ear-bleed inducing sound of the school bell.
oh well, at least she looked decent enough for her first day.
