It was a peaceful and calming start to the morning in Gnome Square. Most of the Gnomes were coming to open their shops, blacksmith weaponry, and market stands, all filled with bean jellies, jelly bears, and fresh food, ready to serve customers. A few gnomes were also watering the gardens and plants while some were cooking breakfast with the gathered food.

Meanwhile, Strawberry Cookie and Wizard Cookie were the first to awaken, each stretching and yawning to help them prepare for this new day.

"Goodness, what a restful night for us." Wizard Cookie spoke first after stretching.

"Yeah, but yesterday was still terrifying when we escaped from Darkest Lord Cookie," Strawberry Cookie said, still nervous from last night's event.

Indeed, as they remembered their escape from Darkness Lord Cookie last night, they both wondered how Hannah felt after all last night, with mixed emotions and what had filled her mind. They decided to see Hannah and GingerBrave before having breakfast together. They also began to gather things to aid them on their future quests, like Strawberry Cookie's lollipop to defend herself and Wizard Cookie's magical staff to cast his spells.

Strawberry Cookie and Wizard Cookie walk down the hallway after leaving their guest rooms to see if their friends have awoken from their beds or are still sleeping. But for this start of the morning, someone or something was about to turn their whole journey into a whole new game for the cookies and Hannah all together in a single day—or so they were to think.

As for their new friend, Hannah remained deeply asleep in her hammock, with her head on a big fluffed-up pillow and her whole body in a comfortable quilt covering her. GingerBrave then starts to wake and stretch while he sits up, but he almost falls when he is about to climb out of his hammock. He yelps as the hammock swings in circles. Luckily, he manages to stand up afterward, rubbing his head.

"O-ouch...that hurts a little." GingerBrave softly said. He then shakes his head with a relieved sigh, slowly standing up to look at the still-sleeping Hannah and see how she slept in the hammock.

GingerBrave wondered how long humans could sleep like this or when they'd wake up on the right, so he walked over to Hannah. He soon gently rocked her shoulder to wake her up. It took a few minutes, but after five more times rocking Hannah, she finally groaned a little in her sleep.

"Mmm... please let me sleep for ten more minutes," Hannah, who was still sleepy, said, trying to go back to sleep and turned on her side.

GingerBrave noticed what Hannah just said to him as she felt sleepy. Hannah should have told GingerBrave how her sleep patterns differed from those of her new cookie friends. So GingerBrave began gently rocking Hannah repeatedly to help her wake up.

"Hannah? Hannah? Are you alright? Wakey-wakey... It's morning already. It's time to wake up now," Gingerbrave says, rocking Hannah to wake her.

Hannah slowly fluttered her eyes a little to open them, then let out a soft yawn. She then rubbed her eyes for a moment before reaching for her glasses.

"M...Morning, GingerBrave... Sorry if I have little time to get up. It's always like that for me anyway. What time is it?" Hannah asks, sitting up a little and rubbing her eyes again from sleep.

Hannah watched GingerBrave when he held a pocket watch for her, allowing her to look at it and compare the time with her new watch on her left wrist. Hannah realized that the time read 9:15 a.m., meaning that around midnight, Hannah came to see her sleeping for eight or nine hours. This is a very good amount of sleep for most humans, but for Hannah, this was the first time this happened to her.

"Wha! Oh my God, it's 9:15 in the morning?... Man, I must have been really tired last night," Hannah said, putting the watch away and sitting up more, still holding the conscious book in her arm as its eye was closed.
