CHAPTER EIGHTEEN
A HellfireLorelai stood with Luther waiting for Ethan to come back.
"Lorelai, Luther, we know this much. Nekhorvich gets on a plane to go to the Center for Disease Control in Atlanta. He's carrying a virus he's created, Chimera, and the cure for that virus, Bellerophon. Ambrose doesn't have the virus." Ethan explained.
"That's why Ambrose needs McCloy." Luther noted.
"He's gonna try to infect someone we know with Chimera." Lorelai stated. Ethan looked over at her. "He needs one person and he's gonna put a bid on them or something." She explained further.
"So we go into Biocyte, kill Chimera, Ambrose has a cure without a disease, and we're home free. What do you say, Mrs. Hunt?" Ethan said, smirking at the last bit.
"What the hell happened while I was gone?" Luther questioned.
"He told Nyah that we're married." Lorelai sighed.

The group were sitting in a dark room and Lorelai was getting bored.
"Is the building up and running yet?" Ethan asked, leaning over Luther, who just hummed in reply. The screen started rotating the blueprint of the facility and Ethan looked disappointed. "That's not exactly it."
"Sorry, but this is a Biocyte facility. Their storage structure. I'll have it up in a minute. Okay, take a look at this." Luther said.
Lorelai walked over, crossing her arms as she examined the screen.
"Start from the inside out." Ethan and Lorelai said in unison.
"All storage and production of Chimera is done here, in this lab on the 42nd floor. No garage entrances. Lobby's protected by five guards on rotating patrol."
"No disguises?" She joked. Eclipse never had the masks or voice changing strips, so she always got a kick out of IMF using them.
Ethan shot her a look. "Not goin' in from the ground. Show me the atrium."
"The atrium? One of a kind. Runs down through the centre of the building. Provides 24-hour natural light via mirrors and daylight storage cells. Optimal growing conditions for the virus. End in a glass floor which doubles as part of the lab ceiling."
Ethan and Lorelai shared a look, and both had very small smiles on their faces, then they looked at Luther.
Luther shook his head, "uh-uh. The atrium roof closes at sundown. And if the louvers are up for more than forty seconds and night, the civil emergency alarms are tripped. Those even I can't stop. Ethan, Lorelai, we have a total of forty seconds to get you both in and the cables out."
"Lorelai." Ethan started, making her look at him with confused eyes.
"What?"
"You're not going."
Lorelai scoffed, "I'm sorry, and why the hell not? I'll find another way in, okay—"
