The phone was constantly vibrating since the day Minjoon had had to leave his hometown in a hurry. He took the plane immediately because not only were they about to break through the case they had been working on for too long, the sudden tragedy of The Jeons shocked him to the core. But he didn't want to overwhelm himself anymore than he already was as he was in the dark of what actually happened. He couldn't discuss over the phone nor he could get texts in details as everyone was trying to catch a breath and crack the case at the same time. Minjoon knew it would be a mess and as soon he reached Busan's precinct. He stood corrected.

The only relief he had after 9 days of continuously working without breaks was that they were able to catch the right hand men of the case and prevented any hindrance regarding Jeongguk's life as they increased security. The Secretary and his accomplice were in the interrogation room. But as for Baek Haneul's case, it got more complicated as the 3 main right hand men that were caught, committed suicide when they were in the interrogation rooms, all at the same time. It was without a doubt the ring leader's order but they didn't understand how it got to them when they were prevented from any communication with others except the detectives in charge. The progress they had dropped. The evidence that Mr.Jeon Jintae possessed, the pen drive, could have made it a lot easier. And sadly, it was only Jintae who knew where it was. His house was searched, so was his office or any place that might be a clue to find the Pen drive. But they got no luck.

His phone vivrated again. He looked at the screen and it showed 63 missed calls : 48 from Seojoon, and others were from his parents, Seokjin and even 1 from Yoongi. Which melted and saddened him both at the same time as Yoongi rarely called. There were several text messages, mostly from Seojoon about asking his whereabouts, what he was doing or if he was even okay. Minjoon didn't realize 9 days had already passed in a whiff yet he didn't contact any of the members. He sweated and cursed himself for not picking up phone calls sooner, especially Seojoon's. So he called back and Seojoon immediately picked up.

" It's about time you called back. Where have you been? It's been 9 days, 9 DAYS Minjoonshi since you suddenly left and vanished. I've been calling and texting you ever since. Do you know how worried I was for the past 9 days ?"

Anger and frustration, mixed in Seojoon's sweet, feminine voice and it guilttripped Minjoon.

" Yeobo! I am sorry I couldn't talk to you. It was so hectic here and... I got so focused on the recent case I didn't get to call you back."

"Couldn't you at least text back? Chagiya, I was once and still a wife of a police officer so you don't really have to explain to me how police work works. And it was not only me, everyone was worried. Didn't you care at all?

It was one of the times Minjoon felt nervous because of doing something he absolutely didn't intentionally want to do.Sometimes he feared, sometimes he pitied. And sometimes, he felt too guilty.

" I know you must be agitated as I left you guys there in a hurry without any explanation. I am sorry. I didn't mean to neglext you but it was such a case and none of us got any rest. But Yeobo, we are so close to cracking the case we've been tirelessly working on. We'll just need a little more time and luck. Please try to understand how... "

" Minjoonshi, again, don't explain to me how you work because I do understand your workload. But if you go without any text or calls like you did for the past 9 days, don't you think you're being too harsh on me? Do you think I don't know or understand how tiring police jobs are? The pressure of solving and closing the case as soon as possible?"

" Seojoonah, I..."

"You must understand that I am going to be worried sick if you don't contact me at all. It's unfair for me to go to bed with a baby growing in my belly every night and keep having bizarre thoughts about whether you're even okay or not. Can't you even text me at least to let me know your situation so that I can get a sigh of relief?"
