Dear Dairy, 16/10/04

It's my 7th birthday! I just received this diary from my brother.. I wasn't really happy, I always thought it would be a such a girl thing but my brother told me real big boys do it as well. And he also told that Micheal Schumacher, my biggest idol does it and i want to be just like him one day!

So I'm Charles Leclerc and I'm a racing driver, at least i want to be. I always wanted to be a racing driver, because I live in Monaco and one day when I was playing with cars with my one of my friends i saw the race from a far in Monaco. Me and my friend stood there the whole race and just watched. From that day on, i wanted to be one as well. My father was also one! Sadly not in Formula 1 but I'm sure I'll make him proud!

I have an older brother, that I already told you about, his name is Lorenzo. He's 15 and I have younger brother, Arthur. He's 4.

Today I celebrated my birthday with my whole family, even my godfather Jules Bianchi was there, he's usually busy with his Formula 4 races.. but his gift was the best! He gifted me to see the last race of this year. What means i gotta see Micheal Schumacher! He's in the lead right now, and obviously he's the best and will win this season with no problem. My dad also gave me a Schumacher Shirt, I'll definitely wear it at this race!

And by the way I'm thinking of more often pretending to be sick to skip school because the last time where I was sick my dad took me to my godfathers family race track to kart all day long! And he gave me really good tips so it was worth it! I wish I could kart with Jules as well but he's so busy and lorenzo doesn't kart that much anymore because he wants to focus on school. He is so boring. And Arthur is just starting with racing, it's so cool! It would be so cool when we would be in one team someday and we'll be the best!
