HER DESIRE OF NOT WANTING TO BE QUEEN

Once upon time, long long ago...well twenty years ago to be exact. My Dad married my Mom in front of six thousand of their closest friends. I don't know any of their names. Anyway there was this huge cake. but instead of a honeymoon, my Dad united all the kingdoms including Wonderland and Neverland, and got elected King of the United States of Auradon. He rounded up all the villains and sidekicks to this little place called the isle of the lost. It is a pretty fascinating place just don't tell anyone I said that. There is no magic, wifi or a way out. This is my story along with my brother, but mainly mine. My name is Adeline Beast, and welcome to my hood. You're about to meet the isle of the lost but here is where the story begins.

Adeline is heading towards her brother's room as he is bring fitted for his suit. Adeline already had her dress fitting. It wasn't fun though as she doesn't want to be Queen and have her entire life planned. She wants to make her own story, and live outside of the Castle. But that wouldn't be the case if she is going to be Queen.

"How is it possible that you're going to be crowned king and queen next month?!" Beast says as Adeline waved to her parents as her Dad waved back to her with a small smile.

"They're turning 16, dear." Belle reminds her husband as Adeline smiled at her parents, as her heart was in her stomach.

"16? That's far too young to be crowned king. I didn't make a good decision until I was at least 42." Beast says as the tension was slowly growing in the room.

"Mom, Dad, me and Ben have thought of our first proclamation as King and Queen." Adeline says as she stands up as her parents look at her giving her, their attention.

"We have decided to let the people on The isle live here in Auradon." Ben adds to what his sister said as they held each other's hand in comfort knowing what's going to happen. 

"Every time I look out to the island, I feel like they've been abandoned." Adeline says as this makes her father look at her, with widened eyes.

"The children of our sworn enemies?!" Beast says which made Adeline flinch at her father.

"We start out with a few at first, only the ones who need our help the most. We've already chosen them." Ben says as Adeline nods her head at her brother.

"Have you?" Beast questions his children.

"I gave you a second chance. Who are their parents?" Belle says before turning her head back towards her children, as they both had a lump in their throats.

"Cruella De Vil...Jafar..." Ben says before turning his head to his sister, who nods at him.

"Evil Queen...and Maleficent." Adeline finished as she covered her eyes as just after he did that her father yelled.

"Maleficent! She is the worst villain in the land!" He roars of anger, which made Adeline stand behind her brother, as he has always been protective of his sister. He will always protect his sister, no matter what.

"Dad, just hear me out!" Ben yelled back to his father as Adeline continues to hid behind her brother.

"They are guilty of unspeakable crimes." Beast says semi calmly but still angry.

"Dad, their children are innocent." Adeline says as she peeked around her brother to look at her father. 

"Don't you think they deserve a shot at a normal life?" Ben says as they both pause to look at their father.

"Dad?" The twins asked in unison, as they typically would fist-bump each other but now isn't the right time for that. 

"I suppose their children are innocent." He says to his children as him and Belle then walk out of Ben's room.

"It's okay, Addi." Ben says to his sister as she nods her head. He turned his head to look at his sister and she was by the window again.

"Do you ever wonder what life is like there?" Adeline asked her brother without looking to see that he was right next to her.

"Probably not good, considering that's where the villains are." Ben says as Adeline sighs as her head is pressed against the window.

"Have you ever thought about going there?"

"Why would you want to go there?" Ben questioned his sister.

"Freedom, you don't have to listen to your parents? Or be Queen? You don't have any responsibilities." Adeline started listing the reasons why she wants to go to the isle of the lost, but also knowing that it's been forbidden.

"Let me guess, you don't want to be Queen?" He asked her knowing it was obvious that she clearly doesn't want to be Queen.

"Wouldn't be lying if I said, yes. It's just too much. I'm one of those people who doesn't want her life planned of every second of her life. I won't have do any responsibilities, or follow anyone's orders."

"Makes sense, Have you thought about telling Mom and Dad?" Ben asked his sister as just then she looked at him.

"Are you mad? Dad will yell, and Mom will try to intervene. That's a battle I don't want to have." Adeline tells her brother who nods his head. "I haven't built the courage yet."

"You should before the Coronation."

"I'm planning on it, just not now." Adeline says as her brother nods his head.

"Promise?"

"Promise."

But she can't help but wonder, what life would be like on the isle of the lost.
