It's been a cruel summer for Victoria Parrilla.

The professional soccer sensation, 30, is a name that resonates powerfully in the world of sports, and she has made headlines once again. This time, it's not for her extraordinary skills on the field but for her endearing attempt to connect with pop superstar Taylor Swift, 33, during her Eras Tour concert in Kansas Citywhich Parrilla attended during her few days of break before travelling to Australia for the FIFA Women's World Cup. The story unfolded in a recent episode of the podcast Unscripted with Lana and Tori Parrilla, co-hosted by her sister, the celebrated Once Upon a Time actress Lana Parrilla.

In the latest podcast episode, Parillaaffectionally known as Tori, the dynamic midfielder and captain of both FC Barcelona and the Spanish women's national soccer team, shared her exhilarating experience at the Kansas City leg of Taylor Swift's Eras Tour. Tori, born in Brooklyn, NY, to Spanish parents, has not only dominated the soccer world with her talent but also won hearts with her candidness and charm.

"The tour has been absolutely amazing," Tori's sister, actress Lana Parrilla, noted. Tori, bubbling with enthusiasm, added, "I mean, Taylor's shows are always top-notch, but this one... it was something else. The production was flawless, and her energy on stage was infectious."

The conversation took a playful turn when Tori revealed her plan to give Taylor Swift a friendship bracelet with her phone number. Tori's excitement was palpable as she recounted her experience of being a long-time Swiftie. "I've been a Swiftie pretty much since the Stone Age," she joked. Tori shared how she had hoped to hand Taylor a specially made bracelet, but was ultimately unable to do so due to the singer's strict no-meet policy to preserve her voice for the marathon performance – for which she made no exception for the UEFA Women's Player of the Year.

"I was a little butthurt I didn't get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her," Tori admitted, her voice tinged with disappointment. Lana quickly added, "Oh, but you did more than that. Don't leave the best part out."

Tori laughed, nervously recounting her plan. "So, for context, if you're up on The Eras Tour, on a Taylor concert, there are friendship bracelets, and I received and traded a bunch of them being there, but I wanted to give Taylor Swift one with my number on it." When Lana teasingly asked whether she meant her jersey number, 14, or her phone number, Tori's mischievous grin said it all. "You know which one."

This playful admission has sent fans and the internet into a tizzy. Social media platforms have been abuzz with reactions, with many applauding Tori's boldness and others humorously speculating on Taylor's potential response. The episode quickly went viral, showcasing Tori's charismatic personality and bringing her closer to fans who may not follow soccer as closely.
