Operation Aidlyn // A School Bus Graveyard story

Chap 4. Chill dimension day

The whole world shifted and suddenly they were back. The sky gone red and little to no phantoms roamed near Ash's house, infact all of them were around the school bus graveyard, as per usual. The group all woke up in the regular bus but they were in the same positions they had slept in. So Ben and Taylor both quickly got up, shared small smiles and glances at eachother with bright red faces while Tyler refused to get up, not even realising he was hugging Logan. Ashlyn and Aiden were the first to get up as Ash needed to grab her headphones and wanted to see everyone else's reactions to their snuggle buddies.

"awwww Ty that's cute"
"wha?" he opened his eyes and looked around to see Logan sitting in front of him, trying to get out of his grasp with and awkward smile on his face and a light hearted wave to Tyler. "I- Shit. Sorry Logan i didn't realise i was doing that.."
"No no it's fine! it's not a big deal honestly it's fine."
Aiden nudged Ash and nodded his head over to Taylor who was giving the both of them a very mischievous grin. Ashlyn just shook her head and Tay pouted. Tyler quickly stood and helped Logan up before giving them all a weird look, as if he didn't get caught cuddling, and walked to the back of the bus.
"Well he's a bundle of joy to be around isnt he!"Aiden remarked, sticking a tongue out at him as he passed by and flipping him off when he wasn't looking. "Very much so." Taylor replied, rolling her eyes and giggling. "So uh what exactly are we doing tonight?" They all looked around at eachother with shrugs and confused looks, trying to figure out if anyone knew what they planned, if they planned.

"I'm not sure but I uh, I think I left something at the back last time and gonna go see if i can find it." Logan said hastily, before disappearing off to the back of the bus, like Tyler had. That left Ben, Taylor, Aiden and Ashlyn to figure out what they should do.
"Could we just have like, a C.D.D" Aiden said, sitting down. "A what now?" Taylor stared at him like he had two heads and had just grown horns. Ben just face palmed knowing this was going to be some dumb phrase that he made up on the spot in excuse to not do anything tonight. "Like a, a Chill, Dimension Day you know?"
"But don't we have anything to do? im sure we planned something. I mean it feels like I'm missing something here i can't be the only one right?" Ben looked slightly down at Taylor and nodded. He went over to the duffel bag and took out his big notebook, quickly writing something down. *What about you Ash? What do you think we should do?*

Ashlyn looked around for some sort of guidance, the whiteboard they dug up was empty but she could've sworn she wrote something on it last time. She wanted to figure it out she didn't want to risk anything, but all of that went away when she looked at Aiden. He was still smiling at her but his eyes looked like he was pleading. Then she remembered the conversation they had about an hour before they shifted. ( A/N SHIFTING MENTIONED😱😱 )
He wasn't ready to go on with anything, not yet atleast. "I mean, I guess one night of rest wouldn't hurt, i think we deserve it, we've gotten a lot done recently." Aiden shot her a quick glance and a small nod, silently thanking her, before looking back at the others and holding his head up high. "Woohoo! Lazy day! Imma go tell the other two lovebirds." He pranced down the length of the bus, and the whole time Ashlyn watched. She still couldn't understand why he was so interesting all of a sudden. Obviously she still thought he was weird and needed to see a therapist but something was different to the first time they spoke, the first time they interacted.

"Ashhhhhhh" Taylor teased, showing up beside her and looking over her shoulder to see what she was looking at. "Watcha looking attttt?" Ashlyn stepped forward a bit, how did she not hear her come up?
Mayber the headphones were a tad bit too strong.
"Nothing, just making sure he doesn't break another ankle" she said quickly, half truth half lie. "hmmmm okayyyy." She smirked and went over to where ben had taken a seat and started whispering things to him. Ash could tell it was about her but not what they were saying, she really had to get her ear plugs back. Aiden came back to the front, all smiles and laughs while Tyler and Logan dragged behind him, Logan blushing furiously and Tyler looking like ur was about to murder the blondie that interrupted whatever was happening at the back of the bus.

Ashlyn let them bicker and do whatever they wanted as she went over to her backpack and started digging through the pockets of it, trying to find her ear plugs but, nothing. She couldn't find them anywhere. "Uh hey has anyone seen my ear plugs? I can't find them anywhere." Everyone else got up, looking for them whilst saying that none of them had seen it. Aiden just kinda stood there awkwardly before speaking up
"Uh i have spares if you can't find them. I had a lot of left over money and i figured i'd use some of it on something that's actually useful rather than more puzzles." Ashlyn turned to look up at Aiden before turning back around to close her bag. She raised to her feet and walked a couple steps till she was in front of him, holding her hand out. He reached into his pockets and pulled out two high quality ear plugs that were silicone rather than just plastic or foam.

"Thanks" Ash said, looking slightly up at his face. She didn't smile but he could tell she wanted to.
"Who knew he had a brain! congrats on finally growing one" Tyler said as he slow golf clapped.
Aiden turned his head to look at him and glared. "want me to bring up what I saw at the back of the bu-" "okay yes yeah i get it. sorry" Tyler mumbled the last part and kissed his teeth. Taylor went up to him and gave him a very tiny whack over the head for being mean. "That's very sweet of you Aiden!"
She looked over at Ashlyn and winked at her before giggling and running back to sit with Ben who was listening to music. Ashlyn just stood there, extremely confused as to what just happened, but ignored it and sat down to switch out her headphones for the plugs, Logan took his place sitting in the tire and Tyler sat on the rim of it. Aiden went to sit with Ashlyn to make sure that everything with the ear plugs were okay and didn't hurt in anyway. After a couple hours they decided to try sleep a bit as they didn't exactly have much to do in the phantom realm when they weren't fighting the phantoms or finishing a task. Once they had all woken up again in the real world they checked the time and sure enough, it was 12:07. They all said their good nights quickly to try get as much sleep in as they could before school.

Boom! another chapter finished. I'm gonna try uploading them a teeny bit earlier than i normally do as i'm trying to fix my sleep schedule a bit. Usually i would upload an episode at around 6-7am, i got this one done by 3:30ish and i am proud of myself. Now i am headed off to bed and i will see you all, again tomorrow night! Goodnight and Good-day!
