I was happily taking my break in the break room. I worked in a laboratory with a few other people and my boyfriend, Albedo. I was looking around for him, usually he'd be here by now..
Just then I felt a hand on my shoulder, I quickly looked behind me, wishing Id see Albedo. But it just happened to be other one of our coworkers, Asako.
"Sucrose! Wanna get some lunch with me?"
She cheerfully said. She was also so nice to me, but I didnt want to leave Albedo. I thought over it for a bit before answering
"Ah.. Thank you for the invite but I'll pass, maybe next time?"
I kept my voice low and quiet, I never liked speaking to loud. It scared me to be loud
"Sure! Just text me when!" And just like that she walked off. I felt a bit bad, but I also didnt want to leave Albedo without him knowing.

I was working in my office room, I just wanted to get this over with... I had been trying to find out a way to keep plants alive in areas where they'd have low chances of living. It may seem like not much, but in my mind I wanted a way to grow plants in any area if their home land fails to bring them well living environments to keep them alive. I have been at this for a few days..s
I softly groaned and looked up. I saw that at least 2 hours have past. My break was now.. but I was to far in. If I stopped now I wouldn't want to come back to it. So.. I just pushed threw. I could hear the soft clicks of the clock. 𝓉𝒾𝒸....𝓉𝒾𝒸... 𝓉𝒾𝒸.... In a way, I'm some what fond of it, it breaks the silence that the room holds.
Just then I heard a knock on the door
"oh.. Come in.."
Just then I saw my girlfriend, Sucrose, walk in to the room, holding her clip board. My face lighten when I saw her walking in, it was always nice seeing her. She reminded me of happy times.
"ah! Darling!"
"Have you made any progress?"
"A little.. Its better then nothing.."
I watched as she walked up to me, I stood up and pulled her in for a hug. I felt her soft arms wrap right back around me. It felt nice to just have her. No work, no worries, just her.. I knew I wouldn't get back to my work, but that was okay with me, because I had her with me. Besides, a little break never killed anyone. Right?

Once I felt him wrap his arms around me, I happily did the same. I finally got to spend time with Albedo, it felt amazing to be back with him. Just hanging out made the short walk worth it.
"You better not be over working yourself!" I said in a somewhat mad voice. Even though I was mad at him, I still cared for him, and wanted him to be healthy and not overworked to much.
"I know.. I know.. You say it every time. I'm fine, dear. Truly."
"Overworking is no good!"
I finished, with worry in my voice, before kissing his cheek. I felt him plant soft kisses on my head. I was content with this. Just having simple times like these made every struggle worth it.
