Prince Indrajit's pov
Uday called me from inside the room, his voice carrying a hint of excitement. "Yuvraj, look at this!"
But I was captivated, my gaze fixed on the garden below. The delicate beauty there held my attention, and I couldn't pull away.
"YUVRAJ?" Uday's voice grew louder, insistent.
With a sigh, I turned my head towards Uday and then back to her, only to see her disappear from view. She must have heard Uday's call and slipped away. Frustration welled up inside me as I walked over to Uday.
"What is it, Uday?" I asked, trying to keep my voice even.
He held up a small velvet box, revealing a selection of rings. "I just wanted to know which ring suits me," he said, oblivious to my distraction.
I sighed again.

Nandini's POV
"Oh, I barely escaped! The prince was there," I gasped, catching my breath as I spoke to Shruti and Vidya.
Shruti's eyes widened with concern. "Did he see you?"
I shook my head, still panting from the sudden sprint. "No, I ran before he could spot me. We could've gotten into serious trouble."
Vidya chuckled, her laughter lightening the mood. "Come on, let's go eat," she said, steering us away from the tense moment.

It's been a month since I last saw her. Despite my efforts, she seemed to have vanished. It felt unreal, almost unbelievable, that someone could disappear so completely.
As a prince, my movements were restricted; the servant quarters were off-limits to me, and I never saw her serving any of the royals.
"The new maids are trained before they can serve the royals," Uday said.
Ah, that explained it. She must have been in training, hidden from view. I felt a sense of relief mixed with frustration at the thought.
"But why do you want information about the maids?" Uday asked, his curiosity piqued.
I hesitated for a moment, searching for a plausible explanation. "I'm the future king," I said, trying to mask my true interest. "I must know everything about the palace."
My response seemed to satisfy him, but I knew it barely scratched the surface of my curiosity.
Third Person's POV :
"Prince was talking about the maids," a voice murmured, the words carrying a hint of intrigue.
"Maids?" another voice echoed, this one more commanding and curious.
"Yes, ma'am," the first voice confirmed, respectful yet cautious.
A pause followed, then the commanding voice spoke again, more decisively, "Okay, you can go. But keep an eye on the prince."
"Sure Maharani", the first voice replied and went.
Maharani smirked, realizing she had found something intriguing. The prince's unusual curiosity about the maids had caught her attention, sparking a sense of opportunity.

"Malati, let the new maids serve us dinner tonight. And choose the most beautiful ones," the queen commanded, her tone leaving no room for hesitation."Of course, Maharani, as you wish," Malati responded, bowing gracefully. She then exited the queen's quarters, ready to carry out the order with careful consideration.
Malati made her way to the maid's quarters and announced the queen's request. With a discerning eye, she handpicked the most beautiful maids for the task. Among those chosen were Nandini, Vidya, and Shruti, each standing out with their grace and charm.

Dinner timeAs dinner time arrived, the royals gathered around the grand dining table. The prince greeted the king and queen before taking his seat directly across from the queen. The maids soon entered, beginning their service with practiced grace.
The queen's gaze remained fixed on the prince. Her suspicion proved correct—his eyes softened as he watched one of the maids with an unmistakable affection. A knowing smirk curved on the queen's lips. She had found her leverage, a subtle weapon to ignite the flames of intrigue and discord.
After dinner, the queen summoned Malati to her quarters.
"Yes, Queen? Do you need something?" Malati inquired, her tone respectful.
"The maids who served today," the queen replied, her voice firm, "I want them as my personal attendants."
Malati hesitated. "Are you sure, Queen? They are still under-trained for such a position."
The queen's eyes narrowed. "Malati, I don't need your advice. Just follow my orders."
"Of course, Queen. My apologies," Malati said, bowing before retreating from the room.
Malati arrived at the servants' quarters, addressing the maids who had served that evening.
"You ladies are in luck," she announced, "the queen has selected you as her personal maids."
A murmur of excitement swept through the group. "Does that mean our pay will be increased?" Shruti asked eagerly.
"Yes," Malati confirmed. "But be warned—the queen is very strict. One mistake, and you could be dismissed from the palace."
"Start your duties from tomorrow," Malati continued. "Sharada will provide your new uniforms."
With that, Malati left, leaving the maids to absorb the weight of their new responsibilities.
---------------
"Working as the queen's personal maid means we'll get to see the other royals too," Shruti said, her excitement evident.
"Yes, but the queen is very strict," Nandini replied, her voice trembling as she buried her face in the blanket. "I'm scared."
"Don’t worry, Nandu," Vidya said softly from beside her, offering a comforting touch. "We’ll manage. Just stay calm and do your best."
