The three of them began whispering to each other after hearing their Sensai's words that this mysterious girl would now be joining their class. all directed at Hanako, standing at the front. Hanako, feeling the weight of their stares, shifted nervously on her feet. She took a breath, glancing at the mess left by her cursed spirit, Akki, which made it very clear she did not want to be there.
"It's nice to meet you, everyone," she said sheepishly, forcing a smile. "Ah, also sorry about the classroom," she added, her cheeks flushing as she took in the scattered papers and overturned chairs. and desk
Standing in the middle between Shoko and Suguru, Satoru narrowed his eyes, his expression a mix of sarcasm and annoyance. "So you're the girl that we've been hearing about?" He strolled closer, his hands casually shoved into his pockets. As he neared the front, he examined her face with an intense gaze, as if trying to see beyond her exterior.
"Can you please not get so close?" Hanako said anxiously, taking a small step back, her eyes widening a bit. She could feel a rush of embarrassment flooding her cheeks as he towered over her.
"Oh, come on. I can't believe a little shrimp like you has so much cursed energy coming off of her," Gojo spat, stepping back but maintaining a disinterested smirk.
The contrast between her small stature and the immense, chaotic energy radiating from her was shocking, even to him.
"Little shrimp?" Hanako pouted, lowering her gaze. Embarrassment washed over her, mixing with the anxiety already churning in her stomach. "I'm not that small!" "you're just really tall!" The pouting only added to her youthful appearance, though Gojo was entirely unmoved by her defensiveness.
But then her brows knitted together, a flicker of curiosity dancing in her eyes. "Wait, what rumors are you talking about?" she asked, tilting her head slightly, her voice laced with genuine intrigue.
"Well, you know..." he hesitated, the words hanging in the air as he struggled to maintain a playful air, his expression shifting under the weight of unspoken truths. "the ones about you being able to manipulate reality itself." "If it's true, you'd better tell that curse of yours not to try anything funny." His tone, once light, turned sharp and serious in an instant, the atmosphere thickening around them.
"You say that as if she's going to listen to me," Shiro retorted, a frown at the corners of her mouth, though the edge of doubt flickered in her eyes. It was clear she hadn't meant to voice her skepticism aloud.
Satoru's irritation flared at her response, his jaw tightening as he stepped closer, eyes narrowing with a predatory intensity.
"Satoru, that's enough," Masamichi interjected, his voice firm, cutting through the tension like a knife.
"Oh, come on, Sensei," Gojo shot back, incredulity lacing his words as he turned to face Masamichi. "Do you really think this little thing is going to survive here?" His gaze flicked dismissively toward Shiro, a mix of condescension and disbelief etched on his face.
Suguru felt the tension thicken like fog in the air, a palpable unease that set his nerves on edge. "Now, Satoru," he said, his voice level as he placed a steadying hand on Satoru's shoulder. "As small as she may be, she must have some kind of potential, don't you think?"
"You both are just tall," she pouted in her mind.
With a low grunt, Satoru crossed his arms defiantly over his chest, the grumbling beneath his breath betraying his annoyance, but his eyes darted back to Shiro, uncertainty flickering behind the bravado.
..........
"So Shiro this cursed spirit of yours; what's its name, and where'd it come from?" Ieiri asked, her eyebrows knitting together in curiosity, like she was dissecting an unsolved puzzle.
