A rumbling love

Chapter 2

Annie got ready putting on the best dress she has while also doing her hair. She could not afford to lose this job. She wouldn't be able to pay for her dad's surgery if she ends up failing. She headed out calling an uber to bring her to the venue. She was shocked to see how massive the place was. She looked at the reflection of her phone checking to see how she looked. She took a deep breathe and rung the doorbell. A few minutes later someone opened it. Her eyes widened as she saw  a half naked man open it. He had soft blonde hair with oceanic eyes adding to his gentle appearance. His lower half almost blew her off her feet. He had a built complexion and what's worse he had a six pack. A wave of redness hit Annie as she tried to compose herself.

"My names Annie Leonhardt the new intern for survey corporation." she said trying not to look at him directly.

"Oh so you're Annie. I must say you're pretty impressive based on what you're resume says. Come on in the others are outside." Armin said leading her to the courtyard.

Annie couldn't help but look at the mansion it was fit for a princess in there. While looking around she tripped herself. Armin ended up catching her before she hit the ground. Their faces almost touching as he did. They got lost in each others eyes for a bit before snapping back into reality. Flustered and all they apologized and awkwardly walked to the courtyard.

"Hey guys Annie Leonhardt is here." Armin announced. He took a few beers and started throwing it to the pool where the others were.

"Welcome to the team Ms.Leonhardt." Erwin introduced himself. "I expect great things from you."

"Hi Mr.Smith I'm glad to be here. I promise to do my best."

"Hey Annie right?" Jean asked.

"Yeah, it's nice to meet you." Annie replied back.

"You're pretty cute mind if I get your number?" Jean responded. Luckily before he got rejected Armin jumped in.

"Annie would you like to join us in the pool?"

"It's okay maybe another time. I'll just talk to the others about the company." Annie replied.

"Alright if you need anything just talk to me or anyone else here they could help as well." Armin said before jumping back into the pool. Annie can't help but look at him doing so. He had a gentle sense of enthusiasm especially with that charming smile and pleasant voice. She chatted to the others about work expectations and everything she had to do while working there. After a few minutes she excused herself and asked one of the butlers where the washroom was.

Annie had this weird habit of using the washroom with the lights off. She finished doing her business and started washing her hands when someone came in. It was Armin, Annie swore she locked the door. Since it was dark Armin didn't see anyone in there so he locked the door and turned on the lights. He started to take off all his clothes and took a towel beside him to dry off. He was completely oblivious about someone else in the room.When he turned around he jumped back at the sight of Annie being in the corner covering her mouth.

"AHH!Annie what are you doing here?!" Armin asked.

"I-I-I-I w-was..." she said not finishing her thought due to the state of shock. She couldn't calm down because of the sight that was infront of her. When Armin noticed her stuttering and her face being tomato red he finally got a grasp of the situation and immediately covered up. Flustered the both of them were, someone knocked on the door.

"Armin? Are you almost done in there? All of the others took all of the bathrooms. Can you hurry up?" The faint voice of Connie can be heard from the other side of the door.

"Sorry just a few more minutes umm can you ask someone else real quick? If there's still not one unoccupied then you can go back here." Armin quickly thought of an excuse. Connie agreed to trying somewhere else and went off. Armin quickly grabbed Annie's hand and got out the bathroom. They went to the bedroom right beside it and shut the door.

"Phew that was close. Mind explaining why you were in there with me?"Armin demanded.

"I'm sorry! I forgot to lock the door and I have this weird thing of keeping the lights off when using the washroom. I swear I wasn't doing anything weird! " Annie exclaimed.

"It's okay but I just can't get over the fact that... that... that." Armin turned steaming red and covered up his face. "That you saw everything..."

Annie's face turned a bright shade of red. "H-hey but at least it was b-big?"

Here's what you have to know about Annie. She speaks honestly about whatever she sees . She doesn't hold back on whatever is one her mind. She's always the first one to make a move. While this may seem advantageous in a business environment this doesn't really help her current situation now. While she might be super intelligent but she's a total idiot in social situations. Such as like this.
